The Lamborghini Revuelto could be a new entrant in the Indian market, but it has been doing fairly well in sales. But there are many who ask if this hybrid supercar is suitable for daily runs and if it is user-friendly. Bodhi Sattwa, who goes by the name The Zen Car Driver on Instagram recently chose to answer this question. He shared pictures of his 83-year-old mom driving the Revuelto, with a caption that describes how good the car is.

The caption reads: “Some of you may know that my 83-year-old mother has been my inspiration to be adventurous in life, and she has driven every supercar I have had. Today was her turn in the Lamborghini Revuelto. She loved it!
Her review: very easy to drive, feather-like throttle makes its super responsive, lovely exhaust noise, insane acceleration. It’s probably taken her top spot over the Huracan performance spyder, which she loved. A reminder that she drives a GLC43 AMG so this wasn’t her first rodeo. I think I have found a new advertising line for Lamborghini: “So good your 80+ year-old mum can drive it in a saree!”
The Revuelto is Lamborghini’s first hybrid supercar. It gets a plug-in hybrid powertrain that consists of a 6.5-liter V-12 and three electric motors making a combined output of 1,001 hp and 1000 Nm. It can hit 100 kph in just 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 350 kph. Lamborghini launched the supercar in India in December 2023. The ex-showroom price starts at Rs 8.89 crore.
Revuelto Has Made Unpleasant Headlines!
Ever since its global debut, the Lamborghini Reveulto has made unpleasant headlines several times. In December last year, Lamborghini issued a recall for two Reveultos over concerns of potential oil leaks that could have caused a fire if left unattended. These units had issues with an oil flange connection between the oil tank and the radiator.
In October last year, a Revuelto had caught fire in New York City, triggering Lamborghini to start looking for issues similar to that identified. More units could be affected- identified and recalled in the coming months.
The Revuelto has also displayed several other instances of severe quality issues. Probably the most prominent one of them (in the Indian context) would be when Raymond CEO Gautam Singhania was left stranded on the Atal Setu when the Revuelto he was driving broke down. He was taking a test drive of the vehicle.
He soon took to X (formerly Twitter) describing the incident: “I took the new Lamborghini Revuelto for a test drive and ended up stranded on the trans-harbour link due to a complete electrical failure. It’s a brand-new car—are there reliability concerns? This is the third one I’ve heard of experiencing issues within 15 days of delivery.”
In another unfortunate incident, a brand-new Revuelto was completely destroyed in New York after it spontaneously caught fire. Owned by Ethan Duran, owner of Corsa Auto Group, it had just 174 km on its odometer at the time of the mishap. The cause of fire still remains unclear.
