Ligier Myli EV Spotted Testing In India

With the rise in the popularity of electric cars, it looks like international brands are trying to enter the Indian market. While we already have several brands like Tata, Ola, Ather, Bajaj, MG, and Mahindra in the market with electric vehicles, international brands are also attempting to benefit from the rapidly growing popularity of EVs. One such brand from France is Ligier. The French car brand seems to be interested in the Indian market, as one of its vehicles was recently spotted testing in India.

The Ligier Myli, a small electric car, was spotted on the back of a trailer in India. The electric car had a board that said “On Test” on the front windshield. Images of the Ligier Myli have been shared by 91Wheels on their website, contributed by one of their readers. The electric car was spotted without any camouflage.

In the images that have gone viral on the internet, the front end of the Ligier Myli can be seen. The board and stickers on the front windshield indicate that the car is being tested by ARAI. It is a cute-looking small car with neo-retro elements. The design might remind you of the Mahindra Reva, which was once available for sale in India.

The pictures reveal round headlamps and a gloss black grille. The front logo of the Ligier brand has been covered with masking tape. This is a two-door hatchback, but the entire car is not visible in the image as it is loaded onto a truck. Ligier is a brand known for making microcars.

The Ligier Myli is not a new product and is already available for sale in many European markets. Like many cars sold in Europe, the Myli is known for its compact dimensions. It is 2,958 mm long, 1,499 mm wide, and 1,541 mm tall. The electric car features bulky wheel arches (both black and body-colored, depending on the variant). It runs on 13- to 16-inch wheels, depending on the variant.

As mentioned earlier, this is a 2-door electric hatchback. The rear design of the car is quite unique. It has a large glass tailgate that appears as a single unit. The Ligier brand logo and the model name are located on the lower right corner.

The Ligier Myli sold internationally comes equipped with features like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, power steering, automatic climate control, a heated driver seat, and many other features. The cabin has a basic design with AC vents, climate control buttons, and a floating touchscreen on the dashboard.

Regarding the battery pack options, Ligier offers the Myli with three configurations. There is a 4.14 kWh battery pack with a 63 km range, an 8.2 kWh battery pack with a 123 km range, and a 12.2 kWh battery pack with around a 192 km range. The electric motor generates 7.5 PS and 10.4 Nm of peak torque.

The exact launch timeline for the Ligier Myli in India is not yet confirmed. If launched, the Myli will compete with the MG Comet which is currently the only small electric car in India.
