Brand-New Mahindra Thar AX7L: Extensively Modified Right Out Of The Showroom [Video]

A lot of times, when we see cars that have been heavily modified, we assume that it might be a base variant which has been converted to look like the top-spec variant. However, this is not the case every time. Recently, a video has been shared online in which a brand-new Mahindra Thar AX7L, which comes with ADAS, was seen getting fully transformed. The modifications have been made to the exterior as well as the interior.
This video, showing the Mahindra Thar ROXX AX7L with a ton of modifications, has been shared on YouTube by Car StyleIn on their channel. The host of the channel and the manager of the shop shows the fully modified Thar ROXX. She highlights that the owner of this particular SUV has brought it all the way from Odisha to their shop. As per the host, the entire work of modification was done in 3–4 days.
Following the introduction, the host starts by mentioning all the modifications done on the outside. She first starts by mentioning that, as the vehicle was originally white, they have gone with the black and white Panda specification. The top half of the vehicle has been wrapped in matte black.
Meanwhile, the lower white portion of the vehicle has been paint-corrected and given a Made in India paint protection film. She highlights that the vehicle now has a permanent gloss, and this paint protection film has a warranty of 8 years. Next up, she starts talking about the modifications on the front fascia.
She mentions that the original grille of the Thar ROXX has been replaced with a piano black ABS plastic grille, which has been inspired by the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. After this, she shows the newly added Proman metal bumper. The host adds that, despite being an aftermarket bumper, it has proper provisions to add the original ADAS and front parking sensors.
Moving on, she shows the front lower section, which now gets a metal skid plate that protects the lower part of the SUV and the important mechanical components. Next up, she adds that the Thar ROXX has been given a set of Aozoom 3.5-inch LED projector fog lights, which have three color lights. Additionally, four more Aozoom LED projector lights have been added on the bonnet using Proman brackets.
Next up, the host shows the Land Rover Defender-style roof LED light bar mounted on top. She also highlights that all the side body claddings of this vehicle have been painted in gloss white to match the body color. This has been done to avoid the fading of matte black body cladding, which, over time, looks very bad.
She then moves on to show the Defender-style staircase on the left side of the vehicle. Meanwhile, on the right side, it gets a Defender-style external box. As for the rear, this Thar ROXX has been given a roof-mounted spoiler with LED taillights, and the original LED taillights have also been changed.
After showing the complete exterior modifications, the host moves on to the list of interior mods. These include the complete wrapping of the roof liner in Alcantara, including all the pillars. Apart from these, the seats have been finished in black leather with contrast stitching.
She adds that all the hard plastics have been finished in a special leather-like soft-touch material as well. Other additions include ambient lighting across the cabin and also around the AC vents. Lastly, she adds that they have added carbon elements on the dashboard and other trims.
