The Mahindra Thar Roxx price starts at Rs 12.99 lakh; however, despite this affordable price tag, it gets constantly compared to the Rs 80 lakh Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Now, we understand that the Thar Roxx cannot compete with the quality that the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon has to offer. However, there might be one Thar Roxx that could definitely give any Jeep Wrangler a run for its money. Today, we would like to present to you a Mahindra Thar Roxx that has been modified tastefully to rival the Jeep SUV.
Mahindra Thar Roxx modified to kill a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
This video showing the delivery of this modified Mahindra Thar Roxx has been shared on YouTube. It comes courtesy of Anunay Sood on their page. In this vlog, the professional photographer and entrepreneur goes to his friend’s shop to reveal his newly modified Thar Roxx. After reaching the shop, he removes the red cover off the SUV.
We can note that it indeed looks like a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon killer. At the front, the vlogger and the owner of the shop mention that they have added a metal bumper with two bright green shackles. This particular bumper also gets a bull guard. Apart from this, they add that this SUV has been given a set of massive 33-inch tyres wrapped around aftermarket alloy wheels.
This particular Mahindra Thar Roxx has also been given a lift kit, although the exact size of the lift kit has not been mentioned. Moving on to the side profile, the vlogger mentions that they have added a Land Rover Defender-like ladder on the left side. Additionally, on the right side, it gets a jerry can to hold extra fuel or water.
As for the rear, the SUV has been given a rear wheel protector, which also houses additional tools that can be used during off-road adventures. Lastly, the shop has also added detachable tracks on the roof, which will help this SUV get out of situations where the wheels get stuck.

As stated, it is the automatic transmission variant, which comes with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Should you add such modifications to your SUV?
The answer to this question is very subjective. There are people who love keeping their vehicle stock, and there are other people who love to modify their vehicles according to their taste. Now, if you are someone who wants to modify their vehicle like the one shown above.
Please note that adding such modifications is illegal in India. However, that being said, a ton of people still modify their cars. Generally, these aftermarket modifications also void the warranty provided by the company. So, if you are planning to add these mods, please be aware.
Another thing you have to keep note of is that adding bigger wheels, tyres, lift kits, and other mods can also negatively impact the driving characteristics of your vehicle as well. So, if you do not want the driving experience of your vehicle to get changed, try to avoid adding such modifications.
