The entire behind-the-scenes process of adding Rs 75 lakh worth of audio components to a Tata Harrier has been shared on TeamBHP‘s forum. In his post, the owner of this particular Tata Harrier has explained everything that has gone into his new Harrier’s music system upgrade.

This particular Tata Harrier owner, in his post, has denied being an “audiophile”; however, he does call himself an “audioholic.” He mentions that he is obsessed with perfecting the sound quality in any vehicle he owns. Prior to this, he had a Kia Sonet in which he spent Rs 29 lakh.

As per the owner, the entire process started by stripping his newly bought Harrier down to bare metal. Following this, to completely eliminate vibrations and noise, a total of six layers of sound-damping material was added. Every corner of the interior of this SUV has been covered in sound-damping material.

Apart from this, even the entire dashboard was removed, and sound-damping material was added to the firewall. Additionally, the floor and boot of his SUV were also treated to make sure that there is no exterior noise that can penetrate the cabin.

After this, the owner explains that to bring the perfect sound quality, a consistent amount of clean power is essential. For this, he has utilized a Micro-Precision DC-DC converter. It is a German-engineered device that ensures a stable supply of power is provided to all the sensitive audio components.

He added that custom high-quality gold-plated components have been used for power delivery. Now, coming to the main highlights of this high-end audio system, the owner mentions that the system utilizes a BRAX Digital Signal Processor (DSP), which he retained from his previous setup.

In addition to it, the system also utilizes two BRAX MX4 Pro Amplifiers, each weighing 12.5 kg, to power the front speakers. There are additional amplifiers from Helix that handle other audio channels. As for the other components, there are Focal tweeters that play at 50 kHz, and there are also ambient tweeters.

Additionally, this Harrier has also been given two subwoofers, both at the front and the rear. This system also comprises a Chord M Scaler and TT2. Both of these are generally used in home audio setups.

The owner highlighted that all of the amplifiers and electronics have been neatly integrated into the boot with proper cooling systems. Also, premium cables from Tchernov and Diosdela Musica have been utilized to ensure that there are no issues with the audio.
