Maruti Suzuki recently introduced a new edition of the popular Brezza sub compact SUV called Urbano Edition. This edition is launched to solve the issue of fewer features in the SUV. Today, we will cover the Maruti Suzuki Brezza Urbano Edition in detail via a YouTube video uploaded by Fuel Injected.

First, let’s understand in detail what exactly is the Urbano Edition. The Brezza Urbano Edition is available only in the LXi and VXi trims. The main purpose behind the launch of this new edition is to make these two variants a more value for money option for the consumers by offering more features at a lesser price point.

In the LXi trim, if the buyer opts for the Urbano Edition, he has to pay an additional amount of Rs. 15,000. According to the host, by paying just Rs. 15,000 the buyer will get additional loadings worth Rs. 52,000.

The Urbano Edition based on the VXi trim comes at an additional cost of just Rs. 3500. The value of accessories which will be added in Rs. 3500 is Rs. 26,000.

First, let’s talk about the additional loadings in the Brezza Urbano Edition LXi which are as following –

  • Reverse parking camera
    7 inch touch screen infotainment system with wireless connectivity
    Speakers
    LED fog lamps with garnish
    Front and rear skid plates
    Front grille chrome garnish
    Side molding
    Wheel arch kit

On the other hand, the VXi Urbano Edition gets fewer loadings as this trim is already well equipped. Additional features over the regular VXi are –

  • Number plate frame

Mechanically, the Brezza Urbano Edition is the same as the regular Breza. The sub compact SUV is powered by a single 1.2 litre four cylinder petrol engine that produces 103 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque.

This engine can be opted with a 5 speed manual transmission or a 6 speed automatic that is available from VXi trim onwards. The Brezza is also available with a CNG power train in the LXi trim. However, this same engine with a CNG power train delivers a reduced power output of 86 PS and a torque output of 122 Nm.

The variant wise pricing of the Brezza Urbano Edition is as following –

  • LXi MT – Rs. 8.49 lakh
  • LXi CNG MT – Rs. 9.44 lakh
  • VXi MT – Rs. 9.84 lakh
  • VXi CNG – MT Rs. 10.68 lakh
  • VXi AT – Rs. 11.13 lakh

In the Indian market, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza competes with prominent players such as Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO and the upcoming compact SUV by Skoda.

The eVX electric SUV will be Maruti Suzuki’s next big thing for the Indian market. Due to arrive in early 2025, the eVX promises to offer plenty of range at a relatively affordable price point. The eVX will be sold in multiple battery options, and is expected to be priced between 20-25 lakh rupees. It’ll also have a badge-engineered sibling from Toyota, which is expected late next year.
