19 Vehicles Of Chief Minister’s Convoy Filled With Water Instead Of Diesel: Petrol Pump Sealed [Video]

We have come across several reports in the past where people have raised their voices against adulteration in fuel and expressed concerns about its quality and quantity. Some of these cases are brought to light, while most go unnoticed. We have heard of petrol pumps filling petrol instead of diesel or vice versa in several cases, but have you ever heard of a petrol pump dispensing water instead of diesel? That is exactly what happened in Ratlam, where 19 vehicles in the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister’s convoy broke down after the pump filled their tanks with water instead of diesel.
The incident took place in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s convoy was refuelling at a petrol station just before the minister's scheduled visit. The convoy reportedly had around 19 vehicles, and the driver of one of the vehicles told the media that the convoy came from Indore. On their way, they stopped at a petrol pump when the fuel levels got low. Some of the vehicles stopped soon after refuelling, while others broke down near the highway.
In the video, we can see officials pushing a car out of the pump, as it could no longer be started. When the drivers asked the petrol pump staff if there was an issue with the fuel, they denied it. Upon inspection, the drivers were shocked to find water mixed with fuel in the tanks.
The cars were brought from Indore as they were supposed to be part of the Chief Minister’s convoy. The incident did cause a stir, but it did not affect the CM's scheduled visit. The drivers mentioned that the fuel was filled from a Bharat Petroleum pump. Officials who visited the pump for investigation sealed it after discovering that adulterated fuel was being supplied.
If you find that your vehicle has been filled with the wrong fuel or with water, the first thing to do is to turn the vehicle off. If your vehicle has not stopped on its own, it is actually a good sign—it means the fuel or water hasn't yet entered the system.
If the car has stopped, do not attempt to restart it, as doing so could cause further damage to the engine. Ask the petrol pump staff to call a local mechanic, drain all the fuel and water from the tank, clean all the fuel lines, and ensure there is no water in the engine before refuelling the vehicle.
If water has entered the engine, take the vehicle to an authorised dealership, as the engine has likely become hydrolocked. This is a time-consuming and expensive issue to resolve. Also do not forget to collect your receipts everytime you refill
The comment section under the post is filled with reactions like “Will they seal a petrol pump if a common man finds water in his scooty?” “I would have understood if it was petrol instead of diesel, but water? ??”
“Funny—even the CM’s convoy is not spared. Height of corruption.” “Imagine this happening to a common man’s vehicle… then no coverage, no outrage. But if it’s the CM’s convoy, the pump gets sealed!!”
