MS Dhoni is a popular personality that needs no introduction. Other than his performance on the ground, the former Indian cricket team captain is also known for his love for bikes and cars. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has a large collection of expensive, vintage, and retro bikes and cars in his garage. We often see him drive some of these cars on the road as well. Dhoni has always been a person who is known to love SUVs. Now, however, he has been spotted driving a Jaguar F-Type sports car.
The video has been shared by Shivam Vlogger 007 on his YouTube channel. In the past, we have seen several videos where Dhoni’s fans, who wait outside his property in Ranchi, often spot him with unique cars and bikes. This time around, the cricketer was found driving a Jaguar F-Type sports car. This is the first time we have seen Dhoni behind the wheel of a sports car.
In this video, we see a Jaguar F-Type coming towards the entrance gate of Dhoni’s mansion. The car slows down and turns. The video captures the cricketer in the driver’s seat. As usual, Dhoni doesn’t stop or encourage the people waiting for him outside the house. He simply drives the car in, and the video ends.
The Jaguar F-Type seen here in the video is actually registered in Karnataka, and we ran the registration number online. We found that the car is not yet registered under Dhoni’s name. It is possible that the cricketer bought a used F-Type recently and the documentation is still under process. Dhoni has bought several cars and bikes in this manner.
He often buys used cars and bikes as it makes more sense. Another reason why he goes for used examples is that the manufacturer doesn’t offer the models anymore.
The car seen here in the video is finished in an elegant British Racing Green shade. The sports car seen here is the coupe version and not the convertible version that people usually associate F-Types with. The F-Type was actually reintroduced by Jaguar in the market to build the brand’s image.
Mr. Ratan Tata, who is not with us anymore, was personally involved in the project during the design phase. It was Ratan Tata who emphasized the need for a sports car in Jaguar’s lineup to build the brand image. Ratan Tata was part of this project, and that is probably the reason why he had a soft corner for the F-Type. In fact, he did have a Jaguar F-Type S in his garage. This was the red-colored LHD version that Ratan Tata had imported.
The Jaguar F-Type seen here in the video is an updated version that came to the market after Ratan Tata’s model. It is not available in the market anymore as it has been officially discontinued by the manufacturer. The car seen here in the video is a 2-door sports coupe. It is powered by a 5.0-litre, supercharged engine that generates 443 bhp and 580 Nm of peak torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels using an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Other than this, Jaguar also had an AWD version which generated more power and torque. It was powered by the same engine but generated 567 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. The price for the Supercharged Jaguar F-Type started at around Rs 1.43 crore and went all the way up to Rs 2.61 crore.
