India’s Richest Man Mukesh Ambani Spotted Driving Bulletproof Mercedes S-Class For First Time: Rare Footage

Whenever we have seen the country’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, on the road, we have seen him in the rear seat of his Rs 10 crore armored Mercedes sedan. However, recently the multi-billionaire was seen behind the steering wheel of his Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard luxury sedan. He was accompanied by his daughter, Isha Ambani, who was sitting in the front passenger seat and was chatting with him.

Mukesh Ambani driving his Mercedes Benz S680 Guard with Isha Ambani

The video of Mukesh Ambani himself driving his Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard has been shared on Instagram. It comes courtesy of Instant Bollywood. In this short clip, we can see the Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard with Mukesh Ambani behind the steering wheel, leaving the private jet terminal of the Mumbai airport. It can be noted that his daughter, Isha Ambani, was sitting right beside him.

They were both seen chatting in the car, and it appears that there were some people in the rear as well. It is possible that they could be Anant or Akash Ambani, sons of Mukesh Ambani. Also, his wife, Nita Ambani, could have been inside the car. We can also see that the security Range Rover Vogues and MG Glosters were around Mukesh Ambani’s car.

Not the first time

Interestingly, this is not the very first time that we have seen Mukesh Ambani driving his previous-generation S600 Guard. A few years ago, he was spotted near Isha Ambani’s home, “Gulita,” in Worli, Mumbai. On this occasion, he was accompanied by his youngest son, Anant Ambani. They were both accompanied by a number of their security vehicles, including Range Rover Vogues, MG Glosters, and others.

Mukesh Ambani’s Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard

Now coming to the car that was being driven by Mukesh Ambani, as mentioned, it is the S680 Guard. This is one of the four Mercedes-Benz S680 Guards that the Ambani family owns. They have black, silver, white, and golden-colored S680 Guards in their garage.

The one seen being driven around by Mukesh Ambani is the golden one. Two of them—the black and the silver ones—are equipped with the “333” VIP registration number. Meanwhile, the newest white and the oldest golden ones are equipped with the VIP registration number of “999.” We believe that the “999” cars are used by Mukesh Ambani. Prior to this latest-generation model, Mukesh Ambani has owned other S-Class Guards over the years as well.

Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard: Details

Now coming to the details of the Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard used by Mukesh Ambani and his family members. Each of them costs Rs 10.5 crore (ex-showroom). The all-new W223 Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard comes with VPAM VR10 certification. This is currently the pinnacle of ballistic certification for civilian vehicles.

This certification ensures that the vehicle is not only bulletproof but also resistant to explosive charges. The new W223 S680 Guard also comes equipped with bullet- and blast-proof glass featuring multi-layer construction and a polycarbonate layer for splinter protection. The glasses on this sedan measure, on average, from 3.5 to 4 inches.

Powering the Mercedes-Benz S680 Guard is a massive 6.0-litre V12 engine. This motor generates 612 bhp and a staggering 830 Nm of torque. This 4.2-ton behemoth sedan also gets all-wheel drive. The car also has specialized tires, which have been designed to continue functioning for up to 30 kilometers after a potential flat.
