Nita Ambani, wife to Asia’s richest man, recently created headlines by going saree shopping in Bangalore, in a bulletproof Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard. The car was previously used by Mukesh Ambani himself. Nita Ambani was accompanied by a full-size armed security convoy. Days after her visit, a new video has now surfaced, showing something funny. A woman can be seen in it, arguing with the armed bodyguards, reportedly for blocking the road. The clip was posted on Reddit and many Redditers are now coming up with interesting comments.

The video shows the S600 parked in front of a building- which if you look closely, is the Angadi Artifact- a concept store in Bangalore that showcases Indian luxury and handcrafted objects. There is a Toyota Fortuner parked behind it- likely belongs to the bodyguards.

Several bodyguards (including armed personnel) are standing around. They are awaiting Nita, who soon walks into the car. The woman is seen making arguments with the security personnel, standing just next to the car. We don’t know what the two were talking about.

The video’s captions say she was questioning the convoy blocking the road. The reasons to believe this claim are the size of Nita Ambani’s security fleet, the hefty caution they exercise and the fact that the cars are parked in front of the building, on the road. The reason to disbelieve is that the road itself seems to be quite large, and hardly any block would be created by these vehicles.

Another possibility is that the aunty could have wanted to take a closer look at Nita Ambani and her lifestyle, and thus would have moved closer to the convoy, before being stopped by the security personnel. This would have made the two engage in an argument. Towards the end of the video, she seems to be upset and angry.

Redditors are showering comments on the video. One of them reads ‘ That aunty beefing with an armed bodyguard is peak Bangalore’. Many are, however, appreciating the woman’s act of questioning the road block. It could be common for the Ambani Convoy to create road blocks and slow-moving traffic in Mumbai, but not in Bengaluru it seems.

‘It’s true that some citizens are provided with Z+ security, and we must acknowledge its importance. However, it should be ensured that such arrangements do not disrupt day-to-day life beyond what is reasonable.’ reads another comment.

Mercedes S600 Guard: More About The Car

Now let’s come to the car that Mrs. Ambani was spotted in- a bulletproof Mercedes Benz S600 Guard. This luxury sedan was previously used by Mukesh Ambani. The S600 is an older-generation model. The Ambani’s have a total of S680 Guards- the latest generation saloons.

This S600 belongs to the W222 generation, and back in its day, would cost over 10 crores. It has been built to offer VR10-level protection. This means that it can withstand direct fires of steel-core bullets, and is even resistant to a 15 kg TNT blast from a distance of 2 meters. The car comes with a reinforced base structure, special underbody armour and polycarbonate-coated windows.

The armouring should have made its weight spike, and the S600 Guard draws its juice from a massive 6.0-liter V12 bi-turbocharged petrol engine. It can produce 523 bhp and 850 Nm, and comes paired with a seven-speed automatic gearbox. Despite being an armoured vehicle, this sedan sees no compromise in occupant comfort or luxury.
