Watch Police Mahindra Boleros Chase And Intercept Maruti SX4 Carrying Drugs [Video]

Generally, when we hear about police car chases, we think of Hollywood or Bollywood movies. However, recently, this became a reality in Nashik, Maharashtra. A video shared online has gone viral in which not one, not two, but a total of eight police patrolling vehicles were chasing a Maruti SX4. The chase began when the SX4 driver bypassed a police checkpoint and was being chased on suspicion of carrying illegal substances. Later, when the chase ended and the driver was caught, a huge shipment of narcotics was retrieved from his car.

The video of the police chase conducted by Nashik police has been shared on X by Pune Pulse on their page. As per the post, the chase began after a red Maruti Suzuki SX4 sedan registered in MH 02 was traveling from Dhule to Navi Mumbai. The driver of this particular vehicle came under suspicion after he avoided the Adgaon stop-and-search checkpoint.

Soon after this, the Adgaon police authorities started chasing the Maruti SX4, and they then called for backup, following which seven other CR mobile units arrived from various points. These included units from Bhadrakali Peter, Panchvati DB, Mumbai Naka DB, ACP Sarkarwada Division, and others. All of these mobile units then continued chasing this vehicle across Nashik city.

The driver, in order to lose the police tailing him, entered the city and drove through Adgaon, Dwarka U-turn, Amardham U-turn, KK Wagh College, and Chakradhar Swami Mandir. As seen in the video, the driver of this particular Maruti SX4 was driving extremely recklessly. On several instances, the vehicle came dangerously close to the Mahindra Bolero of the police authorities.

At one point, even a bus came in front of the Maruti SX4. However, despite this, the driver did not stop and managed to escape by driving through the narrow gap on the right side. The police Bolero even hit the sedan while approaching from the left side, but even then, the driver did not stop.

Eventually—and thankfully—after entering a rough patch of road, the Maruti SX4 driver finally stopped the car. As soon as he stopped the vehicle, he was caught by the police authorities and arrested. Why exactly the sedan was stopped by the driver is unknown.

Narcotics found in the car

Following the arrest, the Maruti SX4 was checked by the police, and three massive blocks of narcotics were seized from the vehicle. As for the person who was driving the car, his identity has been kept secret, and his face was covered by a black cloth. Presently, details of the investigation into this matter have not been revealed.

Police officers were felicitated

After the chase ended, the police authorities involved in this high-speed chase across Nashik city were felicitated by the Nashik City Police Commissioner. In the post, it was mentioned: “The Nashik City Police Commissioner commended the entire team involved in the chase. Special recognition was given to vigilant officers Bhaurao Gangurde and Balkrishna Pawar for their prompt actions.”

Police chases can be dangerous

Over the years, police authorities have conducted many high-speed chases across different cities in India. However, many police authorities avoid engaging in such chases. The primary reason behind this is the inherent risk of causing harm to civilians and public property. Thankfully, in this particular case, no one suffered any injuries.
