Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor celebrated his 42nd birthday a few days ago. Videos of the actor celebrating his birthday have been circulating online for the last couple of days. The actor recently cut his birthday cake in front of his fans and paparazzi outside his house. After cutting the cake, the actor, along with Alia Bhatt and their daughter, was spotted in their Bentley.
The video has been shared by Cars For You on their YouTube channel. In this video, we see Ranbir Kapoor celebrating his birthday with fans in front of his house. In the next clip, we see Ranbir driving through the busy Mumbai roads in his Bentley along with his family.
The actor bought the Bentley Continental GT earlier this year, and we have seen him with the coupe a couple of times. This time, we saw the actor behind the wheel with Alia Bhatt sitting in the co-passenger seat and their daughter in her lap.
The family was probably on their way to a restaurant to celebrate the occasion. We also see a current-generation Range Rover LWB from Ranbir & Alia’s garage following the Bentley. While this video felt like any other celebrity video, there was one detail we couldn’t ignore.
The child was actually not seated in a dedicated child seat. It is a common sight on Indian roads, and we know that the majority of parents in India do not like the concept of child seats. However, the reason they ignore this is mainly because such seats are expensive, and many consider them a waste of money.
We recently came across a report where a two-year-old child, seated in the lap of its mother in the front co-passenger seat, died in a horrific crash. The car the child was seated in had collided with a truck, and the airbags deployed instantly.
The other occupants in the car, including the mother of the child, escaped the crash with minor injuries, but unfortunately, the child died. The passenger airbag was the cause, as it had opened against the child’s face, suffocating her to death.
This incident is a reminder of why one should be careful while traveling with children in a car. Airbags in cars are mainly meant for adults and are not suitable for children. This is why we see warning stickers on the dashboard of some cars with airbags advising not to fix child seats in the front co-passenger seat. Airbags can easily injure or even throw children from their seats, causing serious injury.
Returning to the car seen in the video, the Bentley is a Continental GT V8 version, priced at Rs 5.22 crore. The car is finished in a deep shade of blue or grey. It is a 2-door, 4-seater sports coupe.
This Bentley is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that generates 542 Bhp and 770 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels. Both Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor own the current generation Range Rover SUVs too.
