Road rage incidents are reported from different parts of the country almost every day. In most cases, the argument starts over a silly reason. Here, we have a video where a car driver overtaking a bus led to an argument. The bus blocked the car’s way, and the staff inside the bus got out with sticks and threatened the car driver.

The video has been shared by Ghar ke Kalesh on their X profile. The incident took place on an expressway. We are not sure if this was reported from Gujarat or some other part of the country. We hear the bus drivers and the occupants speaking Hindi and Gujarati, so we feel it is safe to assume that the video is from somewhere in Gujarat.
The video was recorded at night. We see a night service private bus in front of the car on the expressway. The bus driver was pushing the car to the shoulder of the road, trying to slow it down and make it stop. The bus driver was successful in doing so. While the bus was slowing down, we see a couple of men in the bus waving at the car with long sticks in their hands.
The car driver’s wife started recording the video, sensing danger. The men got out of the bus and immediately started shouting at the car driver. The car driver was trying to remain calm in the situation, as he was traveling with his wife. However, when he realized that these men were extremely angry and were trying to break into his vehicle for a physical fight, he asked his wife to call the police.
That is what she did. We can hear her speaking to the control room and explaining their current location. Usually, in such videos, we feel the bus drivers are at fault. However, in this case, we couldn’t help but notice the statements made by the bus driver and the staff. They kept asking the car driver why he was applying brakes in front of the bus.
They were constantly questioning him about his behavior during the argument. It looks like the car driver, after overtaking the bus, was brake-checking it. This is extremely dangerous, as heavy vehicles like buses and trucks need more time and space to slow down compared to a car. The bus was probably being driven at high speed on the expressway, but that does not mean the car driver has the right to brake-check the driver.
A bus, as seen in this video, might be carrying passengers, and by performing such brake checks, the car driver was putting not just his own life at risk but also the lives of innocent passengers on the bus.
However, this does not mean the bus drivers and staff have the right to block the way and threaten the car driver. This is also a behavior that we do not promote at any cost.
The bus driver or the staff should have ideally taken note of the car number, recorded a video of the incident, and reported it to the police instead of blocking the way and threatening. The car driver, on the other hand, remained inside the car with the doors locked to avoid further escalations.
