Mahindra Thar Driver Runs Over Security Guard For Asking Him To Stop Honking [Video]
Egos of car drivers in India have become very fragile. As a result of this, today the number of road rage incidents has increased exponentially, and this time around a Mahindra Thar driver was seen crossing all the limits. What happened was that this particular Thar driver from Delhi’s Vasant Kunj drove over a security guard who asked him to stop honking excessively. Thankfully, the police authorities were extremely quick in taking action and have arrested this criminal who crushed a man with his Thar.
The video showing this gruesome act of crushing a security guard has been shared on X by Raja Babu on their page. In this short clip, we can note that a security guard with a baton in his hand was standing in front of a Mahindra Thar. Now, instead of stopping, this heartless Thar driver crushed the security guard. It can be observed that even after the guard had fallen, he did not stop.
Rather, he drove his Thar over this man while he was still on the road. What's even worse is that this particular Thar driver did not even stop once to check if the person had survived or not. Rather, he simply drove away as if he did nothing. Thankfully, the video shows that the security guard was alive and only his legs came under the vehicle.
What happened next?
In the video, we can note that despite getting run over by the Thar, this particular security guard was able to stand up and walk on the road. However, it has been reported that this person has suffered 10 fractures on one of his legs. His other leg is also broken, and currently the person is under treatment.
Details of this incident
This hit-and-run case took place in the South-West district, specifically Vasant Kunj area, near Red Light, Mahipalpur Flyover, New Delhi. As for the details of the victim, his name is Rajiv Kumar and he works at Terminal 3 of Delhi airport. On May 4, he was walking to Mahipalpur Road with his brother after finishing his night shift when the incident occurred.
However, at one point, this Mahindra Thar three-door driver named Vijay, who is a 24-year-old man, came behind Rajiv and his brother and started honking excessively. To this, Rajiv asked him to stop honking, but this enraged Vijay, who reversed his SUV. Soon after this, he then drove over Rajiv and did not even stop to see if he survived or not.
What did the police do?
Soon after the case was reported at the Vasant Kunj Police Station, Sub-Inspector Upender Singh, Head Constables Nemichand, Pawan, Ravit, and Inspector Arvind Pratap Singh started their investigation. They first checked the CCTV footage and identified the vehicle number, which was DL 09 SBG 6070. And hours later, Vijay was arrested, where he confessed that he had crushed Rajiv.
Currently, the Mahindra Thar three-door which was used to crush the security guard has been seized by the authorities. Additionally, Vijay has been charged with attempted murder and will most likely go under trial for crushing this man in a fit of rage.
