Bollywood Actor Salman Khan’s Bulletproof Range Rover On Video

Bollywood actor Salman Khan owns an expensive garage. He has/ has had the likes of Range Rover, Land Cruiser, Mercedes GL Class, Audi RS7, Mercedes GLE 43 AMG, Lexus LX, BMW X6 etc. Sallu bhai seems to be a fan of big, butch SUVs. It is no secret that two SUVs of his garage- the Land Cruiser LC200 and Nissan Patrol- are bulletproof vehicles, built like tanks to guard him from the odds. Earlier this year, the actor had purchased a brand new Range Rover Autobiography SV LWB 3.0 in Portofino Blue. He was spotted arriving at the airport in the 4.4 Cr SUV. This later turned out to be a one-off spotting!

Sallu Bhai’s Black Range Rover Autobiography was not seen/ spotted during the months that followed. Fans soon started wondering why the new SUV was not being seen on the roads. Looks like we have the answer now!

Salman Khan was recently spotted at politician Rahul Kanal’s residence for the ‘Ganapati Bappa Darshan’ during Ganesh Chathurthi. He arrived in the newly bought Range Rover. One quick glance at the SUV made us realize why it had not been spotted on the roads till now, and where it was all the time.

Soon after its first public appearance, the Range Rover was sent for bulletproofing. It seems to have received a bunch of structural enhancements, armour and bulletproofing. If you look at the mirrors, windshield, glasshouse and doors, you’ll get to see the bulletproofing that has been done. Various reinforcements and armour are used in the process- all adding to the weight of the vehicle and the cost involved. The fuel efficiency takes an obvious hit as well.

There are many firms in India who specialise in bulletproofing and implementing other such security enhancements to vehicles. It is unclear which company worked on Sallu Bhai’s Range Rover. The vehicle has now become the third bulletproof SUV in his garage. Making these modifications is expensive. With the vehicle itself having an on-road price of 4.4 Crores, the total cost of the bulletproof form could likely be over 5.2 Crores (with an estimated 80 lakhs for the enhancements alone). It has thus become the most expensive car in his garage.

In recent times, Salman’s security has been beefed up, following consecutive death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The actor received threats in 2022 and 2023, from the gang who is reportedly planning a hit on him. Salman’s house already has strong security, and the government is also working actively to guard the actor, say sources.

Salman Khan’s Range Rover Autobiography SV LWB 3.0

The actor seems to have bought the LWB SV 3.0 variant that gets a 3.0-litre plug-in hybrid engine producing 503 bhp and 700 Nm. In terms of design, it gets an SV-specific grille and front bumper, Digital LED headlights, 22-inch diamond-turned dual-tone alloy wheels etc.

The cabin is plush and feature-packed. The equipment array includes four-zone climate control, front center console refrigerator compartment, a 24-way heated and cooled executive rear seats, a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 13.1-inch rear infotainment screen, and Meridian 3D surround sound system. Enhancing the visual appeal of the interior are illuminated aluminium treadplates with illuminated SV script and metal pedals.

Not His First Range Rover

The actor has owned various previous generations of the Range Rover. He had once gifted a Range Rover Autobiography to his mother and was often spotted using the same. It had a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine. Apart from this, he has owned two more RRs from various previous generations.
