Shraddha Kapoor Upgrades From Old Maruti Swift To New Swift [Video]

It is not every day that you see Bollywood celebs and B-town divas buy humble cars when they are still in the golden age of their careers. Automobile paparazzi often admired actress Shraddha Kapoor for owning a humble Maruti Suzuki Swift. The latest news has it that the 37-year-old actress has upgraded to the latest generation Swift VXi from her previous generation model.

Shraddha was recently spotted near Juhu with her new fourth-generation Maruti Swift VXi. Like her previous car, this too is finished in White. However, it doesn’t get a dual-tone colourway like her old car. The Swift continues to be the cheapest car in her garage. In the video that has surfaced, the actress is seen getting into the rear seat of the Swift. It is said that she bought this car about four months ago.

For Sraddha, the Swift will be of great help in tackling the hectic Mumbai city traffic. She seems to be an admirer of Maruti Suzuki as a brand and owns a diesel-powered Brezza as well. She uses it mostly for her local commutes.

Shraddha’s previous Swift had White exterior paint with a dual-tone Black roof. This third-generation car was spotted with her on many occasions. The most notable difference between these generations is the engine. The previous generation had a 1.2L, 4-cylinder, K-series petrol engine while the new model ditches a cylinder and comes with a 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. Both generations offer both manual and AMT automatic transmission options.

With the engine swap in place, the fourth generation has become more fuel-efficient than before, even though a slight compromise has been made in terms of refinement.

The cabin comfort, features and livability have also taken leaps up on the Generation 4 car. The car comes with asymmetric dials for the instrument console, a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen, new dashboard layout, a new cabin colourway, cruise control, a wireless charger, wireless phone mirroring, Suzuki Connect, rear AC vents, 60:40 split rear seats, keyless entry, and reverse parking camera.

The safety equipment consists of six airbags, ESP, brake assist, and three-point seatbelts with reminders. While these are the details of the top-spec, the VXI doesn’t come too under-equipped either.

On the outside, the new Swift comes with new bumpers, LED DRLs, LED projector headlamps, gloss black front grille, LED fog lights, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and new LED taillights. It looks better than before and this further makes it appealing for celebs and the affluent. Three dual-tone colour options are there- Lustre Blue with Midnight Black roof, Sizzling Red with Midnight Black roof, and Pearl Arctic White with Midnight Black roof. Seems like the actress has bought the Pearl Arctic White.

Shraddha owns a very expensive car collection. The priciest member of her garage costs Rs 4.5 crore- a Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica. The Tecnica stands out from the standard Huracan EVO by hosting a design that’s inspired by the Sian. The 5.2-litre V10 under its hood makes 640 PS and 565 Nm and comes mated to a 7-speed DCT.

The actress has had a soft spot for SUVs and is not really into sedans. The only sedan she owns is probably a BMW 7 series. Other members of her garage are Toyota Fortuner, Mercedes GLA, Mercedes ML and Audi Q7. The Sraddha Kapoor garage is thus a mix of vehicles belonging to different segments and price brackets.
