Celebrities often update their garages as these vehicles are part of their lifestyle. They often travel in these cars, as most celebrities look for a comfortable car with a decent number of features to make their lives comfortable while on the road. One of the latest celebrities to add a new car to their garage is Sonali Kulkarni. If you are wondering who this actress is, she is the same actress who played the role of Pooja, Saif Ali Khan’s girlfriend, in the popular movie Dil Chahta Hai. The images have been shared by Autohangar, an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership in Mumbai. Many celebrities have picked up their new cars from this dealership, and this one is probably the latest. The image was posted by the dealership on Instagram on December 30, 2024. It is quite possible that the actress might have received a discount on this luxury SUV, as most brands offer attractive discounts during the year-end.
The actress has bought a Mercedes-Benz GLC luxury SUV. The SUV seen here in the image is the mid-size SUV from Mercedes-Benz. It is the current-generation model that Mercedes launched back in 2023. The SUV looks extremely sharp and sporty, and we can see the large front grille with the Mercedes logo in the center.
The side profile of the SUV gets a typical SUV-like design with 19-inch wheels, sleek-looking headlamps, and all-LED tail lamps. The SUV also comes with chrome skid plates at the front and rear. The actress has bought the SUV in a white shade, which is one of the most popular shades among car buyers in India.
The GLC is a luxury SUV, and it offers a decent number of features too. It gets an interior theme that resembles the C-Class sedan. It features an 11.9-inch portrait-style touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The dashboard trims are inspired by the Maybach S-Class, featuring an elegant pinstripe pattern. Most of the features inside the cabin can be controlled using the portrait touchscreen in the center.
In addition to this, Mercedes-Benz is also offering features like an air purifier, 360-degree camera, 64-color ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and heated front seats with memory functions.
Safety is well-addressed through a range of features, including seven airbags, pre-safe technology, and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) featuring blind spot assist, active lane keep assist, attention assist, active brake assist, and active parking assist.
Coming to the engine and transmission, the Mercedes-Benz GLC is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. We are not sure about the exact variant bought by the actress here. The petrol version is named GLC 300, and it uses a 2.0-liter petrol engine that generates 254 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque.
The diesel version, on the other hand, is the GLC 220d, and it is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that generates 194 bhp and 440 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with a 9-speed automatic transmission only. The price for a brand-new GLC starts at ₹75.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹76.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
