It is not wrong to say that India is a country that runs on tea. You’ll find a tea shop on almost every corner. Tea has become a part of many people’s lives here. We have been getting reports of heavy snowfall in the mountains in the North, and there are videos of people stuck with their vehicles in the snow too. However, we have now come across a video where a man who traveled to the mountains in his Tata Curvv.ev is seen taking a break by preparing tea using his Curvv.ev while stuck in a traffic jam due to the snowfall.

The video has been shared by Ram Gothawal on his Instagram page. In the video, we see a long line of vehicles waiting for their turn on the road somewhere in the mountains. We recently came across reports of heavy traffic jams in Himachal Pradesh. We feel the video was posted from Himachal during that time.

We can see a thick layer of snow on almost every vehicle parked on the road. The vlogger mentions that the traffic has come to a stop because of the heavy snowfall. Most of the cars seen in the video are 2WD ones, which are of no use in the snow. Also, the majority of the vehicles in the video belong to tourists who don’t have much experience driving in the snow.

So, it is always a good idea to park your vehicle on the roadside in such cases to avoid accidents. In this case, the Tata Curvv.ev driver, who is from Rajasthan, was stuck in the traffic jam, and just like most Indians, he also wanted a cup of tea. So, what did he do? He simply connected the electric kettle to the charging port of the Curvv.ev and started making tea.

The electric SUV comes with Vehicle To Load or V2L. This is a feature in most modern electric cars that lets the vehicle’s battery power external devices. If you have the correct adapter, you can power several electronic devices like televisions, induction cooktops, coffee machines, and so on. In this case, the owner decided to power the electric kettle to make tea.

While he was waiting for the cars to move, he could make as many cups of tea as he wanted. Due to the heavy snowfall, we feel there are no shops open at the place where they are stuck, and the electric vehicle’s V2L feature came in handy in this case.

There are comments under this video making fun of the EV owner for making tea. Many of them have written that it is a bad idea and that the car is going to run out of charge soon. That is not completely true. If you use this feature extensively, then it becomes a problem, especially during sub-zero temperatures like this. However, in this case, it is just an electric kettle, which doesn’t require much power to make tea.

The Tata Curvv.ev is the latest electric vehicle in Tata’s lineup. It became popular among buyers for its sporty coupe-like design.
