Phantom PeV Is A Three-Wheeled Electric Scooter Designed Specifically For Elderly

Electric scooters have gained a lot of popularity in India. This is because the Government of India and a majority of state governments have given a lot of push to electric mobility through various subsidies. Now, most of the major electric two-wheeler manufacturers have launched EV scooters for youngsters and family buyers. There are not a lot of options for elderly people. However, we have come across an electric scooter which has specifically been designed to suit the needs of older people.
This particular electric scooter is called the PeV Phantom electric scooter, and it has been designed to cater to the needs of old people. The PeV Phantom has been created by the Kela Sons dealership from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Unlike standard electric scooters, this particular model includes three wheels, which makes it ideal for older people who can easily maneuver it.
In terms of the design, from a single glance, this electric vehicle looks like a hybrid of a Suzuki Access 125 and a Hero Pleasure scooter. On the front, it gets a single rectangular halogen headlight, and on the front nose, there are two halogen indicators.
Apart from these, this scooter gets a 10-inch alloy wheel at the front with a 190mm disc brake. It also comes with a digital instrument gauge cluster and forward and reverse gears, which make it easier to move around.
Unlike normal electric scooters, where it becomes very hard for old people to sit and operate, the PeV Phantom gets a unique seating layout. The rider on the electric vehicle sits on a separate seat, which has been positioned on top of a stand. Also, what makes it different is that it comes with sliding adjustability, where the rider can come close to or go far away from the handlebar.
Additionally, to increase comfort while riding and add a little more safety, the front seat gets two adjustable handrests on each side. There is also recline adjustment for the rider as well. Moving to the rear seat, it has been designed to be even more comfortable. It gets a massive seat, which is even more comfortable than the front seat. Also, like the front, it gets adjustable handrests.
What is even clever about this rear seat is that it gets a storage shell located behind the seat, where owners can store a lot of stuff. Additionally, the company has added another storage space underneath the rear seat. To help the rider in charging the scooter, they have also added a charging port in the rear.
The PeV Phantom comes equipped with a standard 60V 32AH lead-acid battery. Buyers who wish to upgrade this battery can opt for an optional Lithium-ion battery at an additional cost. The company offers this scooter with a range of 50–60 km on a single full charge. As for the electric motor, it gets a 1000W motor powering the two rear wheels.
As for the pricing, the PeV Phantom has been priced at Rs 88,000. This particular electric vehicle can only be had with complete advance payment. Also, it can be shipped to anywhere in India. However, the charges will be around Rs 5,000–10,000 depending upon the location.
