Veteran Actor Dharmendra Rolls Window Down And Waves From Latest-Gen Range Rover: Praised For Humility [Video]

However, it feels extra special to see humbling acts from veterans. Recently, one such incident occurred in Mumbai, when a fan girl was greeted back by veteran actor Dharmendra. He was seen travelling in Bobby Deol’s latest generation Range Rover.

The video starts by showing the White Range Rover almost having a standstill in the busy Mumbai traffic. The person who is filming seems to be riding another car- a fact we would understand when we see the window glass rolling down, a couple of seconds later. Dharamji soon notices the fan filming and decides to give him/her a treat. He rolls down the window of the Range Rover that’s almost halted, smiles and waves at the person filming.

This act could be too trivial for a star like Dharamji. But it could have made the day for the fan. Unlike some contemporary stars who ‘flaunt too much attitude’, mature, veteran actors like Dharmendra know this quite well and are often willing to add that extra dose of sweetness to their fan’s day! This modest act deserves appreciation for sure.

Now let’s talk about the car he was spotted with. It is the latest generation Range Rover. Bobby Deol had bought this multi-crore luxury SUV in July this year, following the success of Animal and a few other movies. The actor has previously owned a few other Land Rovers too, including an older generation RR Vogue, Range Rover Sport and a Freelander 2.

There are truckloads of features on offer, like a floating curved 13.1-inch touch display featuring the Pivi Pro infotainment engine, 1,600W, 35-speaker Meridian Signature Sound System, 13.7-inch instrument cluster, Head Up Display (HUD), four-zone climate control, etc. The LWB Autobiography is simply the best a Range Rover can get!

Petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains are available in the Autobiography. Reports say that the actor has opted for the mild hybrid petrol variant (P400). It gets a 3.0-liter, inline 6-cylinder engine that makes 394 Bhp and 550 Nm. The transmission offered is an automatic unit, and the vehicle gets AWD as well. The ex-showroom price of the Range Rover Autobiography LWB is Rs 2.60 crore.

Land Rover recently started local assembly of this SUV and this has shaved off chunks from its price. The same vehicle earlier had an ex-showroom price of 3.16 Cr. It is the local assembly that has brought it down by Rs 56 lakh.
