Vijay Mallya’s V12 Engined Mercedes Benz S-Class Is Back On The Road

The absconding billionaire Vijay Mallya, who used to own Kingfisher Airlines and many other businesses in India, was a massive car enthusiast. He had a collection of some of the most luxurious and exotic cars when he stayed in India before committing a Rs 9,000 crore scam. Of these cars, one of his prized possessions was a Mercedes-Benz S600 sedan. The most unique part about this car was that it came powered by a V12 engine. Recently, a few pictures of this beautiful sedan have been shared online.

Vijay Mallya’s S600 V12

These pictures of Vijay Mallya’s previous Mercedes-Benz S600 V12 have been shared on Instagram. They come courtesy of Automobili Ardent. In these pictures, this pristinely kept Mercedes-Benz flagship sedan can be seen parked at the side of a road. It can be noted that Vijay Mallya optioned this car in a very unique color of a deep golden shade.

As mentioned, the main highlight of this particular Mercedes-Benz S-Class is that it is the V12-engined model. Most of the S-Class models that were sold in India came equipped with V6 and V8 engines. However, there were only a few that were opted with the biggest offering of the V12 engine.

Vijay Mallya’s S600 comes powered by the massive 5.5-liter V12 engine. This behemoth engine also came with twin turbochargers. This motor is capable of producing 510 bhp and an impressive 830 Nm of torque. Additionally, this sedan came with an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. It can do the sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds.

What happened with this car?

When Vijay Mallya flew to London, United Kingdom, where he currently resides after scamming multiple Indian banks, all of his properties and assets, including his cars, were seized by banks.

These were then put up for auction by the banks to recover as much money as possible. Due to this, most of his car collection, which included this Mercedes-Benz S600, his Maybach 62, and his other exotic supercars, have now found new owners.

Vijay Mallya’s Maybach 62 for sale

Just a few weeks ago, we shared the official listing of one of Vijay Mallya’s most prized possessions—his Maybach 62. His dual-tone black and golden Maybach 62 is up for sale for a price of Rs 2.49 crore. It is a 2009 model that has done only 33,971 km. It also gets a VIP registration number of “9999.”

Like the S600, it also comes powered by the same 5.5-liter V12 engine. This motor, however, has been tuned to make 543 bhp and 900 Nm of torque. As for the transmission, it gets a 5-speed automatic transmission, and all the power is sent to the rear wheels.

Vijay Mallya’s cars

Apart from the above-mentioned luxury sedans, Vijay Mallya owned a number of other super expensive cars. The list of his cars included a Rolls-Royce Phantom, Rolls-Royce Ghost, Bentley Flying Spur, Porsche Boxster, Mercedes-Benz SLK 300, BMW 750i, Mahindra Jeep diesel, Bentley Super Sports, Mercedes-Benz SLD, and Lancia vintage.

All of these cars were auctioned off. However, it was reported that even after fleeing to London, he still currently owns a number of luxurious cars, including a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe and another Maybach 62. He also owns one of the rarest cars ever produced by Mercedes-Benz—the CLK GTR Roadster.
