Hyundai has introduced the new Creta Knight edition in India, with prices starting at Rs 14.51 lakh. Based on the facelifted Creta, this special edition brings a host of styling updates, on both the exterior and inside the cabin, distinguishing it from the standard SUV. The new Creta Knight edition is offered with two engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel.
What’s New in the Creta Knight Edition?
2024 Hyundai Creta Knight edition is based on the S(O) and SX(O) variants and comes with several cosmetic enhancements. On the exterior, it features a Blacked-out grille, Black Hyundai logos, and Black alloy wheels with striking Red brake callipers. The Black theme continues with the skid plates, roof rails, C-pillar garnish, spoiler, and ORVM caps, all contributing to a sleek, aggressive look.
Inside, the Creta Knight edition sports an all-black interior with Brass-coloured inserts, giving the cabin a distinctive and upscale feel. The gear lever and leather seats are also accented with brass-coloured stitching and piping, adding a touch of luxury. The Knight edition also comes with metal pedals. Interestingly, changes are strictly cosmetic and there is no addition or tweak of features.
Color Options
The Creta Knight edition primarily comes in Black. It can also be had in matte Titan Grey for an additional Rs 5,000. Opting for the dual tone with a Black roof will cost an extra Rs 15,000. Interestingly, this is not the first time Hyundai has introduced a Knight edition on the Creta. The pre-facelift version also had one but with a different cosmetic treatment.
Pre-Facelift Creta Knight Edition Vs New: What’s Different
The Knight edition is all about cosmetic upgrades. Key visual changes can be spotted, compared to the regular Creta. On the pre-facelift Knight edition, the vehicle had an all-Black theme with gloss Black finishes on many areas of design like grille, front and rear skid plates, wing mirrors, roof rails, side sills and C pillar, The alloy wheels get a Gunmetal finish. Multiple Red accents and ‘Knight’ badges could be found on the exterior. The callipers wear Red as well.
The new Knight edition also gets an all-Black treatment. You get to see Black on the grille, wheels, front & rear skid plates, side sill garnish, roof rails, and spoiler. Hyundai logos are finished in Black, and the brake callipers are painted Red.
On the inside, the pre-facelift Creta’s Knight edition had an all-Black colour scheme. Several Red accents and trims could be seen in places like the AC vents. On the new SUV, however, there are no Red accents inside the cabin. It instead, gets elegant brass-coloured trims and inserts. The Black leather Seat Upholstery, gear knob and steering cover get Brass piping & stitching as well.
Powertrains
The facelifted Creta Knight edition offers two engine choices. The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque. This engine can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional CVT. The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine delivers 116hp and 250Nm and is available with the 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
