All New Renault Duster Turbo And Mild Hybrid: Engine And Gearbox Specifications Out

The French automotive giant Renault recently launched the newest generation of the Duster in South Africa. It has announced the South African market will be getting a turbo petrol and mild hybrid drivetrain Duster. Now, it has been reported that the company will be launching the all-new 2025 Duster in India with these same engine options. So, without any delay, here are the details of these models.
The first engine option, which the South African market is getting with the new Duster, is a 1.3-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol engine. This motor will be capable of producing 154 PS at around 4,800–5,000 rpm. Meanwhile, the maximum torque which it will be able to offer will be 250 Nm at around 1,700 rpm. As for the transmission option, it will be offered with a dual-clutch gearbox.
As per the company, this engine will be able to provide a mileage of 15.38 kmpl. Considering the power this motor will be able to produce, this mileage figure is justified. The other drivetrain option which Renault is offering in the South African market and will be making its way to India will be an advanced mild hybrid setup.
The Duster mild hybrid will be able to produce a maximum power of 131 PS around 4,500–5,500 rpm. Meanwhile, its torque figure will be around 230 Nm at 2,000 rpm. According to Renault, the Duster equipped with this powerplant will be able to provide a range of 850 km. As for the specific mileage of this vehicle, it will be around 17.54 kmpl.
Apart from these engine options, the 2025 Duster will be launched with a ton of elements. In terms of the design, it will be getting Y-shaped LED DRLs integrated into a sleek headlamp cluster, a sleek front grille featuring the new Renault badge, and a muscular front bumper. On the side profile, it’ll come equipped with squared wheel arches, a blacked-out vertical strip under the ORVMs, and conventional front door handles.
It will also be getting chunky roof rails, 18-inch alloys on top-spec variants, and 17-inch alloys on lower trims. On the rear, the new Duster will come with Y-shaped swept-back tail lamps, the new Renault badge at the center of the tailgate, and the Duster badge on the lower-left corner. The company will also add a faux skid plate on the rear bumper.
In terms of the interior, the new Duster will get a much more modern yet rugged interior. This will include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a driver-centric center console, wireless phone charging, automatic climate control, fabric seats, and a flat top-and-bottom multifunction steering wheel.
The 2025 Renault Duster is expected to make its official debut in June of this year. Once launched, this 4.3 m long mid-size SUV will try to reclaim the top of the sales chart of this segment, which was created by it. This time around, it will be facing competition from the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, and others. Pricing will be in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 18 lakh.
