Rolls Royce is a brand that is known as the epitome of luxury and there are several videos of modern day Rolls Royce cars available on the internet. Even in India, Rolls Royce is extremely popular among rich celebrities and businessmen. Rolls Royce even launched their first ever electric car Spectre at Rs 7.5 crore, ex-showroom. While we have decent number of Cullinans. Phantom and Ghosts in India, there are car collectors who own older and vintage Rolls Royce cars. Here we have one such video of a 35 year old Rolls Royce Silver Spirit showing all the features that it offers.

The video has been shared by Shutter Drives on their Instagram page. The car seen here is a 35 year old Silver Spirit which looks brand new even today. This was one of the first cars from Rolls Royce to get the retractable Spirit of Ecstacy. This car came with the mechanism where the Spirit of Ecstacy would hide under the bonnet if someone tried to steal it. The video also shows how easy it was to lift the bonnet of this car. The car came with premium looking interior and this particular car came with ivory coloured leather seat with wooden finished panels on the dashbaord.
This is an automatic car and even the accelerator and the brake pedals came with Rolls Royce branding on it. The thin steering wheel with horn pad in the center. The gear selector is placed behind the steering wheel. It is powered by a 6.75 litre V8 engine that generates around 230 Ps. The engine is mated to a 3-Speed automatic transmission sourced from General Motors. The car still has the original headlamps, tail lamps and turn indicators that were made in England.
The car rotary knob to control the functions like Air conditioning, headlights, windscreen wiper can all be seen here in the video. This is a 35 year old car and it used to come with features like automatic climate control and even electrically adjustable seats. The seats even had memory function for added convenience. The power windows could be operated from the driver side and it also comes with other convenience features like cigarette lighter and rear AC vents. The car came with an extremely spacious cabin.
The car even gets a premium looking roof liner with grab handles and vanity mirror for rear seat passengers. The car gets the iconic Rolls Royce grille which is part of the cars identity. It also comes with 15 inch steel rims with Rolls Royce logo in the center. Just like the interior, it came with an extremely large boot with CD changer and battery placed in the boot. Details related to the owner of this Karnataka registered Silver Spirit with fancy number is not mentioned here in the video. The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit was a full-size luxury car produced by Rolls-Royce in England. The car was manufactured from 1980 to 1997. It was the first model in the SZ series. The Silver Spirit even had a long-wheelbase version that was produced from 1980 to 2000. It was called Silver Spur.
