The upcoming festive month of October will witness the launch of four popular cars in the country. These models from top automakers like Maruti Suzuki, Kia India, and Nissan, along with BYD, will shake up the Indian automotive market. So, without any delay, let’s have a look at the details of these upcoming cars.
Kia Carnival Facelift
The first car that will be launched in the month of October will be the Kia Carnival premium MPV. Kia will be officially launching the Carnival facelift on October 3. The company already commenced the bookings for this model on September 16, and interested buyers can reserve one for Rs 2 lakh.
For the 2024 model year, Kia has given the Carnival facelift a massive upgrade on the outside as well as inside. In terms of changes on the outside, the new Carnival now sports a much more aggressive and bold-looking exterior. It gets an SUV-like styling on the MPV body.
At the front, the new Carnival gets LED headlights, LED DRLs, and LED taillights. Apart from this, it will also have new alloy wheels. Its list of features will include a dual sunroof, power-sliding rear doors, a head-up display, and a digital rear-view mirror.
As for the interior, it will now come with a new dashboard layout, which is a lot more modern than before. It gets new dual screens, ADAS, second-row powered relaxation seats equipped with ventilation and leg support. The premium MPV will also come with a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system.
In terms of the powertrain, it will come with the same 2.2-litre diesel engine as before. It makes 191 bhp and 441 Nm of torque and will come paired with an automatic transmission.
Nissan Magnite Facelift
Next up on the list is the Nissan Magnite facelift sub-compact SUV. Nissan has announced that the new Magnite facelift will be launched on October 4. This time around, the company will be offering an updated exterior design with new LED headlights and a new front bumper. It will most likely also get a new dashboard layout.
The major highlight of the new Magnite facelift will be the addition of an electric sunroof. It could also come with ventilated seats. In terms of the powertrain, the company will not be offering any new drivetrain options.
It will come with the same 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and 1.0-litre turbocharged engines. The former makes 71 bhp and 97 Nm of torque, while the latter makes 100 bhp and 160 Nm of torque. Currently, the company is offering discounts up to Rs 1.25 lakh on the current generation models to clear the remaining inventory.
BYD eMAX 7
The Chinese electric carmaker BYD is also gearing up for the launch of the eMAX 7 electric MPV. This will replace the aging BYD E6 electric MPV in India. Recently, a fully undisguised test mule of the eMAX 7 was spotted testing in the country. It was noted that it featured a set of new LED headlights, taillights, and updated bumpers.
The EV MPV was also seen with new alloy wheels. This popular 3-row EV will come equipped with a massive 71.8 kWh battery pack. With this, it will be able to offer a range of 531 km on a single full charge. As for its motor, it will generate a maximum power of 200 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. The exact launch date has not been announced yet.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Last but not least, Maruti Suzuki will be launching the brand-new Dzire sub-compact sedan in India. This model will most likely be launched by the end of October or early November after Diwali 2024. Now, coming to the changes that will be seen in the new Dzire, the first and most important will be its exterior design.
At the front, the new 2024 Dzire sub-compact sedan will feature a brand-new front fascia. This time around, it will not be an evolved version of the Swift’s exterior. Rather, it will be a completely new and more premium-looking front-end design. It will get a set of new LED headlights, new horizontal slats for the grille, and a set of new fog lamps.
Apart from this, on the side, it will get a set of new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear will also boast new LED taillights and a new rear bumper. Now, coming to the interior design, the new Dzire will boast an interior exactly the same as the Swift.
However, unlike the Swift’s all-black interior, it will get a dual-tone finish with a black and beige color scheme. In terms of the powerplant, the new Dzire will come with the newly introduced 1.2-litre Z12E three-cylinder petrol engine. The exact power output has not been revealed.
