The upcoming year, 2025, will be jam-packed with the launch of numerous EVs. Of these, five will be SUVs from major automakers, and everyone is excited to witness the launch of these upcoming EVs. Hyundai Creta EV

The first electric SUV we have all been waiting for quite a long time is the Hyundai Creta EV. The electric version of the already popular Creta mid-size SUV is set to make its official debut in January at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo. This new SUV will be based on the K2 platform.

In terms of design, the overall design will be the same as the ICE Creta. However, to create a clear distinction, the company will add a number of EV-specific design cues, such as a closed-off grille, new bumpers, and a few others. The interior will most likely remain the same, with some changes in the upholstery.

As for the features, the Creta EV will come loaded with features such as dual 10.25-inch screens, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, and others. Powertrain-wise, it is expected to offer a 45 kWh battery pack, which will provide a claimed range of 450 km. Pricing will be around Rs 20 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara

In addition to the Hyundai Creta EV, Maruti Suzuki will also be stealing the thunder at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Auto Expo. It will officially launch the e-Vitara, the brand’s first-ever electric vehicle. The company has already unveiled this new model, and it looks very close to the concept that was shown a while ago.

At the front, it will get tri-slash LED DRLs, projector headlights, a blanked-off grille, and aero blade-style alloy wheels. On the inside, it will feature one of the most premium-looking interiors of any Maruti Suzuki vehicle. There will be dual screens, a wireless charging pad, ADAS features, and much more.

The company will offer the e-Vitara with two battery pack options. The first will be a 49 kWh battery pack, and this variant will come with an FWD setup, making 144 bhp and 189 Nm of torque. The range will be around 500 km. On the other hand, there will also be a 61 kWh battery pack.

It will be offered with FWD as well as AWD configurations. The former will make 174 bhp and 189 Nm of torque, while the latter will make 184 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Both will offer upwards of 500 km range. In terms of pricing, it will be in the same range as the Hyundai Creta EV.

Mahindra BE 6E Full Reveal

Mahindra has already showcased its electric SUV, the BE 6E, in India and announced that it will start at Rs 18.9 lakh. However, next year, the company will reveal the complete pricing details of this highly anticipated electric SUV. Many believe this electric SUV will blow away its competitors.

It will be offered in an RWD layout and have two battery pack options. The smaller one will be a 59 kWh battery pack, which is bigger than most competitors’ largest battery packs. Meanwhile, there will also be a 79 kWh battery pack. The former will offer 535 km of range, and the latter will provide 682 km of range.

Mahindra XEV 9E Full Price Reveal

Along with the Mahindra BE 6E, the company will also reveal the complete pricing details of the XEV 9E. For those who may still not be aware, the XEV.9E is the coupe SUV version of the XUV 700, which will be called the XEV 7E.

It will also feature the same 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. In terms of range, it will offer 542 km and 656 km, respectively. The electric motor will generate 282 bhp, the same as the BE.6E. Currently, the company has announced that it will be launched at Rs 21.9 lakh.

Tata Harrier EV

Last but not least is the Tata Harrier EV. The company will launch this SUV around March next year in India. The company has reached the final stages of development of this electric SUV, and it will debut next year. It is believed that the Harrier EV will be the brand’s first AWD vehicle.

It will be based on the Acti.ev platform and will feature a ton of EV-specific design elements on the outside. The Harrier EV is expected to come with a battery pack ranging from 60–80 kWh, offering a range of 500 km.
