Maruti Suzuki’s much-awaited or anticipated launch this year, after the all-new Swift, is the Dzire sedan. We have been seeing spy pictures and videos of the upcoming sedan for quite some time, and we know that the manufacturer has been testing the production-ready version of the sedan lately. We also got a glimpse of how the sedan would look in the recently leaked online image. We now have an official date for when Maruti will launch the all-new Dzire sedan in the market. As per reports, the official launch and unveiling of the Dzire will happen on November 4.
We all know from the images that have recently surfaced online that, unlike the outgoing model or previous generation models, the upcoming Dzire will have a new identity of its own. It won’t look like an extended version of the Swift, as it has in the past. It gets a brand new grille, headlamp design, and bumper at the front.
The side profile of the car will look similar to the current version, but we are expecting a new set of alloy wheels for the sedan. It will be a sub-4-meter sedan, and the rear will receive more changes, such as clear lens LED tail lamps and an all-new bumper design. The new generation Dzire is expected to look more premium than ever before.
The interior of the Maruti Dzire will also be different from the existing model. We expect to see a dashboard design inspired by the current-generation Swift or other Maruti models.
The layered dashboard will be finished in a dual-tone shade with a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the center. Other features like HUD, 360-degree camera, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control, and more are expected.
Maruti will also offer an electric sunroof with the new Dzire, which will be a segment-first feature. Safety features like ABS, EBD, along with 6 airbags, are expected to be offered as standard. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been a popular sedan in the segment. In fact, it has ruled the segment for quite some time.
It has been years since the sedan received a major update, and people had started losing interest in it. The new generation Dzire will make things interesting for buyers looking for a car in this segment. Another major change in the upcoming Maruti Dzire is its engine. Until now, the Dzire has been offered only with a 4-cylinder engine.
This time, things will be different. It will be offered with a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine, which Maruti introduced in the Swift a few months ago. This will also be a first for the Dzire.
We know that this new engine has been tuned for city driving conditions and fuel efficiency. The sedan will be offered with a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox option. A few months after the official launch of the Dzire, we can expect a CNG version too. In future, Maruti might also introduce their series hybrid tech with the Dzire sedan. Maruti will be launching the affordable and less complicated hybrid tech with the Fronx next year.
