Maruti Suzuki is extensively testing the all-new Maruti Dzire, which is expected to launch in India in the coming months. It is based on the current generation Swift, but Maruti is expected to give the sedan a different identity from the hatchback. We have come across several videos showing a heavily camouflaged Dzire on the road. Here, we have a video where a render artist has imagined how the upcoming Dzire sedan might look.
The video has been shared by Automotive 88 on their YouTube channel. In this video, the artist shows a render image of a car that looks like the next-gen Dzire. The car is finished in a bright shade of orange, which was once popular in cars like the Nexon and Alto K10. The front grille of the Maruti Dzire looks like a revised version of the grille seen in the new Swift.
It looks sharper and has chrome outlines all around it. The headlamp designs are very different from the current generation model. The bonnet of the sedan looks extremely muscular, and there are several character lines on it. We see blacked-out ORVMs and turn indicators on the fender. The video also shows dual-tone alloy wheels, blacked-out pillars, and side skirts.
The render artist also imagined how the interior of the Dzire would look. It is probably an AI-generated generic image where we see a floating-type touchscreen infotainment system along with other modern features. It should be noted that this is just a render and the upcoming Maruti Dzire may not end up looking like this.
Regarding the next-gen Dzire, it is not going to be entirely different from the hatchback, but minor design tweaks will help Maruti create a new identity for the sedan. The headlights will have a different design from the Swift.
Similarly, the design of the alloy wheels is also expected to be different. The other major change in the car is going to be the rear. The upcoming sedan from Maruti will get a redesigned rear with a new set of tail lamps featuring LED elements. It remains to be seen if the manufacturer will offer a clear lens tail lamp with the Dzire, just like the Swift.
It will be the first sedan in its segment to offer a single-pane electric sunroof. We can confirm this with the help of spy pictures available online.
The new Dzire will get a dashboard design similar to what the upcoming Swift will have. The layered dashboard design is somewhat similar to what we have seen in the Baleno and S-Cross, which Maruti sells in the market. Maruti is also expected to offer a floating-type touchscreen infotainment system and a 360-degree camera with the new Dzire.
The sedan will be powered by the same Z-Series 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. The sedan will be offered with a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox option. Just like the outgoing model, Maruti will initially offer the Dzire with a petrol engine, and a CNG version will be introduced at a later stage.
