The Gloster currently has its price in the range of Rs 38.80 lakh and Rs 43.87 lakh (ex-showroom). It is now offered with discounts and benefits of up to 6 lakh rupees. These are mostly dealer-level cuts, vary between variants and are dependent on stock availability.
The price revision pumps more value into the Gloster. MG’s 3-row SUV sits in the segment dominated by the Toyota Fortuner. Other major players are the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian, and Nissan X-Trail. The new pricing definitely gives it an extra edge over the competition.

Mid-Life Facelift Incoming!
JSW MG Motor India is preparing to launch the new Gloster here. It is based on the new Maxus D90 sold in global markets. It will have significant design updates over the predecessor. The rear end will see major restyling. It will have redesigned LED taillights, a reworked exhaust setup and a new bumper. The front fascia will get a new grille, updated lighting, and a fresh-looking bumper. The LED headlamps will have a split-type design.
The new SUV will have a roomier, more modern-looking cabin which offers better comfort and livability. Spy pictures also hint at the possibility of a larger freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, a new HVAC vent design and twin wireless charging bays.
The centre console will undergo a major transformation, look more upmarket, and come with integrated grab handles. The controls including those of the electronic parking brake will see notable relocation. The AC controls will have a rocker-style toggle design. Two rotary controls can also be seen in the spy shots. One of this is for the shift-on-the-fly 4×4 tech and the other for selecting drive and terrain modes. The upholstery will be Black and will come with diamond stitching.
The powertrain is likely to remain unchanged. The new Gloster facelift is also expected to be powered by the familiar 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine- which comes in both turbo and twin-turbo configurations across variants. The transmission on offer would be an 8-speed automatic unit. The setup will be able to generate up to 213 bhp and 478.5 Nm of torque in the range-topping variant.
New Things To Be Expected
Spy shots show the cabin to have not one but three diff-lock buttons. The outgoing models only gets an electronically lockable rear differential. The facelift could thus have a major advantage over competition with its three locking differentials- front, rear and centre. This upper hand in off-roading will most likely be appreciated by enthusiasts. Some sources say that the captain chairs in the second row could come with massage and ventilation functions.
