Finally, after unveiling the C3 Automatic hatchback last month, Citroen India has revealed the pricing for this model. The Citroen C3 Automatic will start at Rs 9.99 lakh for the base Shine variant. From there, they go all the way up to Rs 10.26 lakh for the top-spec Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack. The company started taking reservations for the C3 hatchback on August 24 after introducing a few other updates.
Citroen C3 Automatic: Variants and Pricing
Citroen India is offering the C3 Automatic in four main variants. These are namely, Shine, which has been priced at Rs 9.99 lakh. Then, there is the Shine Vibe Pack, which is priced at Rs 10.11 lakh. After this, there are the Shine Dual Tone and Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack. Both of these have been priced at Rs 10.14 lakh and Rs 10.26 lakh, respectively.
Citroen C3 Automatic Upgrades
As stated above, Citroen, during the launch of its new Basalt Coupe SUV, launched the updated C3 hatchback in India. For the 2024 model year, the company has given the C3 hatchback a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Earlier, the model only came with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Apart from this addition, Citroen, in order to make the C3 hatchback a little more premium, has added a few new features. The list includes an automatic climate control system, auto-folding wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators, foldable roof grab handles for all passengers, and LED projector headlamps.
Apart from these, the new 2024 C3 also gets the MyCitroën connectivity suite, offering 40 smart features. These include remote start-stop with pre-conditioning (remote AC and heater functions) and fuel marketplace.
It also gets 6 airbags as standard, and ISOFIX child seat mounting points. Other safety features include 3-point seatbelts with seat-belt reminders for all five passengers, and electronic stability program (ESP) as standard. Additionally, the Citroen C3 hatchback includes ABS, EBD, and reverse parking sensors as standard as well.
Citroen C3 Automatic Engine Options
In terms of the powertrain options, the C3 Automatic hatchback comes equipped with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. This small but efficient motor is capable of producing 108 bhp of maximum power and 205 Nm of peak torque. As stated, this engine now comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The same 1.2-litre turbo engine is also offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox as well. Apart from these powertrain options, the C3 hatchback also comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This motor makes 80 bhp and 115 Nm of torque and comes mated only with a 5-speed gearbox.
Citroen Has Also Launched the Basalt Coupe SUV
Apart from the C3 Automatic, Citroen also recently launched the Basalt Coupe SUV in India. This unique SUV with a sloping roofline has been launched with a starting price tag of Rs 7.99 lakh. The top-spec variant of the Basalt costs Rs 13.62 lakh.
Citroen has launched the Basalt Coupe SUV to take on the newly launched Tata Curvv Coupe SUV in India. This new model, as stated, gets a sleek-looking sloping roofline, which is a new design style for the Indian automotive market.
The Basalt also comes equipped with the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated and turbo petrol engines. It comes fully loaded with a 26 cm Citroen Connect Infotainment system, which supports Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
