The first vehicle which will be launched by Hyundai will be its first electric SUV, which will cater to the mass market. It will be officially launched on January 17th at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo. The Creta EV, which will also be the brand’s first locally produced EV in India, is based on the facelifted iteration of the Creta ICE.

On the outside, it will get a closed-off grille, a new front bumper, and a set of new aeroblade-style alloy wheels. It will also get a new rear bumper and a few other EV-specific design highlights. On the inside, it will largely remain the same as the ICE variant. It will get the same 10.25-inch dual displays, dual-zone climate control, and others.

Apart from this, the Creta EV will be equipped with ADAS Level 2, a 360-degree camera, and others. As for the powertrain, the Creta EV will come equipped with a 45-60 kWh battery pack offering a range of 400-500 km. Once launched at around Rs 20 lakh, it will rival the Maruti Suzuki eVitara, Tata Harrier EV, and others.

Tucson Facelift

Next up on the launch roster of Hyundai will be its flagship SUV, the Tucson’s facelifted model. It will be getting a set of new front and rear bumpers, a new “half-mirror effect” front grille, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Other updates will include a new dashboard layout, matrix beam LED headlights, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system.

Powertrain-wise, the new Tucson facelift will come equipped with the same 2.0-litre petrol engine as the current model. It makes 154 bhp and 192 Nm of torque. There will also be a 2.0-litre diesel engine option, which will make 184 bhp and 416 Nm of torque. As for the pricing, it will start from around Rs 36 lakh in India.

Venue Facelift

The Hyundai Venue used to be one of the best-selling sub-compact SUVs in the country. However, it is now due for a generation change, and Hyundai will be giving it the much-needed refresh next year. As part of the update, the new Venue will come equipped with a redesigned front fascia with hollow rectangular grille elements, a new bumper with silver skid plates, and new LED headlamps.

It is also likely to get ADAS Level 2, a panoramic sunroof, new dual connected screens for infotainment and a digital instrument gauge cluster, and also ventilated seats. Powertrain options will remain the same. It will come with the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre NA petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines. Expect a price bump over the current pricing, which starts at Rs 7.94 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.53 lakh.

Ioniq 5 Facelift

Another important launch from Hyundai next year will be the Ioniq 5 EV’s facelift. The new model will get minor design updates, including new bumpers, a longer rear spoiler, and new alloy wheels. It will also become slightly longer in length by around 20mm. Powertrain-wise, it will come with an 84 kWh battery pack, which will offer it more range than the current model’s 631 km claimed range from ARAI.

Last but not least, Hyundai is planning to launch the Ioniq 6 EV sedan, which it showcased last year at the Auto Expo. The Ioniq 6 boasts a very low drag coefficient of 0.21 and features flush door handles and a swept-back roofline that looks very sleek.

On the inside, it gets a very minimalistic dashboard, and it is dominated by dual 12-inch screens. Internationally, the Ioniq 6 is offered with two battery pack options – 53 kWh and 77.4 kWh. The maximum range of this unique sedan is 614 km on a single full charge.
