The British luxury carmaker Jaguar recently revealed its newly designed logo and its all-new identity for the future. This particular reveal was very polarizing, and the company has been brutally trolled online as well. However, in an attempt to redeem itself, the company has recently released pictures of its brand-new electric vehicle — the Jaguar Vision Design Concept. This particular vehicle boasts a super unique shooting brake design; it looks like something that has come from the future.
Jaguar Vision Design Concept: Details
Exterior
First off, let’s talk about the Jaguar Vision Design Concept’s exterior design. From the images, we can observe that Jaguar has not only redesigned its brand identity but also its design philosophy. This new concept shows that it is ditching the curvaceous body style, which was very popular before, and is now opting for a very sharp, edgy design.
At the front, it gets a very clean fascia with extremely sleek LED headlights. It also features a brand-new blanked-off grille design with the new Jaguar lettering/logo. Gone is the old Jaguar face logo that we have loved for so long. As for the lower portion of this vehicle, it gets similarly thin LED DRLs with unique golden accents at the bottom.
Moving on to the side profile, we can note that the Jaguar Vision Design Concept boasts two doors with a shooting brake rear end. It also gets massive aerodynamic alloy wheels, which are finished in golden and black dual-tone colors.
Another major highlight of the side profile is the addition of cameras instead of traditional ORVMs. These cameras have been placed behind a golden design element that opens when the vehicle is turned on (the production version will come with standard ORVMs).
This also happens to be the only spot where we can see the iconic pouncing Jaguar. Just above this, there will also be the charging port for this vehicle. The same golden accent line can be seen continuing on the lower end of the side profile.
Now, coming to the rear end of this vehicle, we can note that the same blanked-off grille design as the front has been retained at the rear. The concept version also does not get a rear glass. However, most likely, the production version will be offered with a rear windshield and a slightly redesigned bumper.
Interior Design
For the interior of its Vision Design Concept, Jaguar continued the minimalistic design theme. There are no screens, no buttons, and not even a traditional instrument gauge cluster. Rather, there is only a flat top-and-bottom steering wheel. The entire interior is finished in a classy shade of white accented by wood elements.
There is a massive partition in the middle that separates the driver and co-passenger. Apart from this, the door panels continue to boast the same white upholstery and wood elements. As for the dashboard, there is nothing on it except for vertical design lines.
Jaguar Vision Design Concept: Other Details
At the moment, Jaguar has not revealed any details about its upcoming vehicle. The only thing that we know is that it will boast an electric powertrain. Presently, the company has started testing this vehicle’s production in the United Kingdom.
As per the reports, this model will be the only model on sale from the brand for a while. It will be built in Jaguar’s factory in Solihull, West Midlands. It is being speculated that this model will be priced in the range of 100,000 pounds or approximately Rs 1 crore.
