JSW MG Motor India will be making a bold statement at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Scheduled to commence on the 17th of January, MG will be showcasing four new models at the show. This time around, the theme for MG is “Drive.Future.” Now, if you are interested in knowing which of these models will be at the MG booth, then you have come to the right place.
MG Cyberster EV
MG has decided that it will go all out at the auto expo and showcase its unique Cyberster EV sportscar. This two-door coupe will boast a convertible soft top and feature a sleek and sporty design. It will also get massive 20-inch alloy wheels and beautiful-looking scissor doors.
The main highlight of this EV sportscar is its powertrain. The MG Cyberster EV will come equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor setup providing it with AWD capability. It will make an impressive 510 bhp of power and 725 Nm of torque. 0-100 kmph will happen in just 3.2 seconds. As for the range, it will be around 580 km on a single full charge. Pricing is expected to be in the range of Rs 60-70 lakh.
MG M9 EV
Another major highlight at this year’s auto expo from MG will be its premium electric MPV, the M9 EV. It will be launched to rival the likes of the Toyota Vellfire and the Kia Carnival in India. This luxury electric MPV will come with captain’s seats with eight massage modes, three-zone climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system, and many other creature comforts.
It will come equipped with a 90 kWh battery pack and provide a range of 580 km on a single full charge. It is expected to be launched in the range of Rs 60-65 lakh. MG will be offering the M9 EV in just two shades, namely Black Pearl and White Pearl.
MG 7 Trophy
MG will also be showcasing a very beautiful-looking fastback sedan—the MG 7 Trophy. This unique sedan will get a sleek yet aggressive-looking front-end design with sharp LED headlights. It will also feature five-spoke alloy wheels and a coupe-like sloping roofline. The MG 7 Trophy will also feature frameless doors, 19-inch alloy wheels, quad exhaust tips, a Bose audio system, a panoramic sunroof, and more.
Powering this unique sedan will be a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. It will make around 257 bhp and 405 Nm of torque and will come mated to a 9-speed gearbox. The standard MG 7 sedan comes powered by a smaller 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine making 183 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
MG iM L6
Last but not least, another one of the very premium products from MG at this year’s auto expo will be the iM (Intelligent Mobility—SAIC Motors’ sub-brand) L6 sedan. This sedan made its official debut at the 2024 Geneva International Motor Show, and it is built on the iO Origin architecture.
In terms of exterior design, it will boast a very sleek-looking front end with LED projector headlights and a sculpted front bumper. It will also get 10-spoke alloy wheels, flush-type door handles, and a sloping roofline. On the inside, it will feature a massive 26.3-inch panoramic screen setup and a 10.25-inch vertical touchscreen as well.
Other unique features of this sedan include a yoke-style steering wheel design, ultra-long-range LiDAR for ADAS, an NVIDIA Orin X chip for autonomous driving and AI capabilities, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip for its infotainment system.
The MG iM L6 sedan is the world’s first vehicle with a solid-state battery. The main advantages of this battery are that it can be charged significantly faster and is much safer than traditional lithium-ion batteries. The top-spec variant will offer a 133 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 998 km on a single full charge. Also, with a fast charger, the battery can be charged to provide a 400 km range in just 12 minutes.
