Days after its official market entry, JSW MG Motor India has increased the prices of the Windsor Pro. The long-range version of the Windsor had stunned many with its aggressive ex-showroom price of Rs 17.49 lakh. This was, however, valid for just the first 8000 reservations. Since the Windsor Pro had a value proposition that appealed to a lot of people, the initial lot that qualified for the introductory prices got sold out within 24 hours. MG has now announced the new ex-showroom price of the Windsor Pro.

The range-topping Windsor variant with the larger 53 kWh battery pack is how priced at Rs 18.60 lakh (ex-showroom). This means a price premium of Rs 1.11 lakh over the launch price.

The manufacturer has also revised the Battery As A Service (BaaS) pricing. At launch, the Windsor Pro could be had by paying Rs 12.50 lakh and Rs 4.5 per km in battery rent. Now, you will have to pay 13.09 lakh (Rs 59,000 more) and Rs 4.5 per kilometre in battery rent. Interestingly, the battery rent has had no revision.

More About The Windsor Pro

MG introduced the 53 kWh version (or the Windsor Pro) as the range-topping variant, instead of an all-new model. The biggest highlight is the larger 52.9 kWh battery pack- a sizeable improvement over the regular Windsor's 38 kWh.

The regular Windsor promises a range of 331 km per charge. The Pro variant claims to deliver a higher range of 449 km per charge. Both variants, however, come with the same electric motor output of 136 PS and 200 Nm of torque. The vehicle has a Front Wheel Drive (FWD) layout.

Inside the cabin, the Windsor Pro gets more features and technologies. It gets the Level 2 ADAS, which is absent in the standard model. It gets adaptive cruise control, lane assist, forward collision avoidance system, and 9 other major features. There are also three levels of warning offered.

The Windsor Pro also features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging pads, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, a 9-speaker Infinity audio system, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a panoramic glass roof.

Visually distinguishing its cabin from that of the regular Windsor EV is the generous use of faux wood and Copper accents. The colourway has transitioned to dual-tone Ivory from the all-Black on the regular EV. The vehicle also features the 'Aero Lounge' seats, which can recline up to 153 degrees.

Making it more unique, the new Windsor Pro also comes equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities.

MG has revised the colour palette of the Windsor Pro. It comes with three new colours- Celadon Blue, Aurora Silver, and Glaze Red. The exterior design remains identical to that of the regular EV. However, you get new 18-inch 10-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels and several 'Pro' badges.

The safety suite on the Windsor Pro consists of six airbags, electronic stability control, hill start and descent assistance, and disc brakes on all four wheels. Things like an electronic parking brake, tyre pressure monitoring system, and ISOFIX child seat anchors are also offered.

Windsor Sales Soar With Pro Variant Launch

The Windsor has already been the bestselling EV in India for 2025, thanks to its strong pricing and popularity. Before the Pro variant was introduced, it was already selling over 2,700 units a month, beating out even the mighty Tata Nexon EV.

The quick spike in bookings for the Windsor Pro shows that Indian buyers are eager for longer-range EVs with premium features at competitive prices, and the Windsor Pro fits just right in. The Windsor's popularity is only set to go up...
