Kia is all set to make a big splash in the sub-4m SUV segment with the Syros, and has officially started accepting orders for it in the country. You can now book your Syros variant by paying an amount of Rs 25,000. The market debut will commence on February 1, 2025, followed by deliveries in mid-February. This SUV will be available in 6 trim levels- HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+ and HTX+ (O). Let’s now take a deep dive into these.

Talking powertrains, the Syros will come with two engines- 1.0L turbocharged petrol and 1.5L diesel. The transmission options will consist of both manual and automatic gearboxes.

Kia Syros HTK

The HTK is the base variant in the Syros range, available exclusively with the 1.0-litre GDi turbo petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. On the outside, it comes with 15-inch steel wheels, halogen headlamps, a shark fin antenna, and silver skid plates for the front and rear.

Inside, this variant would offer dual-tone grey and black semi-leatherette upholstery, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless phone mirroring, a reverse camera with dynamic guidelines, rear AC vents, power-adjustable mirrors and windows, and door curtains for added convenience. There will also be four USB-C charging ports.

HTK (O): What To Expect?

The HTK (O) improves upon the base variant with more features and technology. The HTK (O) trim would come with an electric sunroof, auto-folding power mirrors, roof rails, and a passenger seat-back pocket. The diesel engine starts from this trim. The diesel variants will have 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

HTK+: What To Expect?

The HTK+ trim introduces automatic transmission options on the 1.0-litre TGDi turbo-petrol engine. This would be the most affordable automatic variant of the Syros. It will have  16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and split-folding rear seats with a recline function.

Inside, you’ll find blue and grey dual-tone upholstery and features like cruise control. The automatic version of this trim also offers a button-start system, a follow-me-home headlamp function, drive modes, and an electric parking brake.

HTX: What To Expect?

The HTX variant takes things up a notch by adding LED headlamps and tail lamps, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, and ventilated front seats to the HTK+. Additional features also include a rear wiper and one-touch operation for all windows. For the automatic variants, paddle shifters are also included for added convenience.

The HTX+ variant offers a host of premium features. It will have 17-inch alloy wheels, puddle lamps, a sporty cabin with dual-tone grey and orange accents, and a 64-shade ambient lighting setup.

Key features on offer include a digital instrument cluster, climate control, a 7-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, Kia Connect, and an air purifier. It also features a dashboard camera with mobile app integration, ventilated rear seats, a wireless charger, rear disc brakes, and an automatic IRVM. This variant gets the 30″ Trinity screen setup- a key highlight of the Syros.

Top-Spec Syros HTX+ (O): What To Expect?

At the top of the range, the HTX+ (O) variant offers the most advanced features. Building on the HTX+, it adds Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) for enhanced safety and a 360-degree camera. This variant is available exclusively with the six-speed AT for diesel or the seven-speed DCT for petrol, delivering the best of both powertrains.
