The South Korean automaker Kia India has recently unveiled its newest sub-compact SUV, the Syros, in India. This new SUV boasts a tall-boy design and a much roomier cabin than its competitors. Recently, the company, in order to get more eyeballs on their SUV, has shared a brand-new television commercial. In this TVC, a cute little girl can be seen checking out the new Syros.
Kia Syros New TVC
This new official TVC of the Kia Syros has been shared on YouTube by Kia India on their channel. It starts off with a little girl sketching on a canvas in her room. Soon after this, what happens is that the object she had drawn comes out of the canvas and opens a door for her. She then goes inside this door and sees the all-new Kia Syros sub-compact SUV parked in front of her.
Following this, the girl moves closer to the Syros and starts touching and feeling the car. During the same time, we can hear the different sounds made when the girl touches various parts of the car. She starts with the Kia logo at the front and then starts swiping on the body of the car.
After this, she opens the door of the car with the help of the push-type door handles. She then takes a seat inside the car and puts on the seatbelt. Following this, she starts playing around the cabin and dashboard by pushing and scrolling through various buttons. Finally, the video shows the reclining and ventilated seats of this vehicle.
Kia Syros: Details
As mentioned, Kia has recently unveiled the new Syros in India. This SUV slots in between the mid-size SUV Seltos and the sub-compact SUV Sonet. The main USP of the Syros is that although its length is under 4m, it still manages to offer a much roomier cabin experience than its siblings and rivals.
The Syros gets a tall-boy design, which helps it in offering bigger headroom, and its overall clever design has helped the company enhance the rear seat comfort. On the outside, the Syros boasts a very unique and futuristic design. Even though it is not electric, it offers a closed-off grille appearance.
It also gets large, vertically stacked LED headlights with LED DRLs. There is also a large air dam on the lower portion of the front bumper. Moving to the side profile, the SUV gets distinct styling cues. The B-pillar of the Syros has been painted in body color, which gives it a minivan-like appearance. Apart from this, there is a kink in the C-pillar as well.
The Syros also gets dual-tone geometric-pattern 17-inch alloy wheels and flush-type door handles. As for the rear, it gets a tall tailgate, L-shaped LED taillights on the ends of the rear windshield glass, and a set of fixed LED taillights on the lower side portions. Overall, it looks a bit quirky and very futuristic.
As for the interior, it gets a minimalistic dashboard with a massive 30-inch Trinity panoramic display. The left screen is for infotainment, and the right one is for the driver, which shows the digital speedometer and tachometer along with a host of details.
Its list of features includes a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, powered and ventilated front seats, and others. The Kia Syros is currently the only sub-compact SUV in India that offers a rear seat reclining feature along with ventilation.
Kia Syros: Engine Options
Coming to the powertrain options, the Syros is being offered with two engine options. The first is a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol motor. It makes 120 bhp and 172 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the other is a 1.5-liter diesel motor that produces 116 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
