The Mahindra BE 6, which was recently launched by Mahindra Automotive, has taken the country by storm. Following its launch, the one thing that every expert and general buyer said is that it will beat each and every EV in the market. Many people have even started comparing the BE 6 with the newly launched Tata Curvv EV. Tata Curvv EV vs Mahindra BE 6: Street Presence
This particular image showing the street presence difference between the Tata Curvv EV and the Mahindra BE 6 has been shared on Instagram. It comes courtesy of Bunny Punia. In this picture, we can note that a blue Tata Curvv EV is parked next to a Mahindra BE 6 finished in the Desert Myst color. Both of these cars were seen at a public charging station.
Eagle-eyed viewers will also note that there is a black Tata Nexon EV in the background as well. As for the main highlight of this image, it is the street presence of the Mahindra BE 6. We can note that this particular EV SUV is massive and looks very futuristic when compared to the Tata Curvv EV.
At the front, the Curvv gets a closed-off grille, which is enough to differentiate it from the Nexon EV. However, it does not look completely unique. The BE 6, on the other hand, boasts a much more aggressive and sharp design, which looks like no other car currently on sale in India.
It gets a massive bonnet, which has been sculpted with aerodynamics in mind. There is a huge air scoop from which air gets into the bonnet and goes over the car, giving it better stability at high speeds.
Apart from this, the BE 6 also gets sleek and hidden LED headlights. Overall, from this image of the front end of these two SUVs, the Mahindra BE 6 comes out as the clear winner in terms of road presence.
Mahindra BE 6 vs Tata Curvv EV Dimensions
When comparing the two electric SUVs dimensionally, the Mahindra BE 6 measures 4,371 mm long, which is 61 mm longer than the Curvv EV. Meanwhile, in terms of width, the BE 6 is 97 mm wider and has a 215 mm longer wheelbase.
The Tata Curvv EV, on the other hand, beats the Mahindra BE 6 in height by 10 mm, as it measures 1,637 mm compared to 1,627 mm. Overall, we can note that the Mahindra BE 6 sits lower and looks a lot wider in real life when compared to the Tata Curvv EV. It also boasts a much more macho appearance.
Powertrain Differences
The Mahindra BE 6 is leagues ahead in terms of powertrain and battery pack options. It comes equipped with an electric motor that makes 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. It also comes with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. Both of these offer 535 km and 682 km of range, respectively.
On the other hand, the Tata Curvv EV comes equipped with an electric motor that only makes 148 bhp and 215 Nm of torque. As for battery pack options, it comes with 45 kWh and 55 kWh battery packs, which offer 502 km and 585 km of range, respectively.
