Mahindra is known to be working on several exciting products. It had showcased a bunch of exciting concepts previously, some of which are now nearing production. Here are three such concepts that will be put into production soon.

Mahindra Thar.E Concept

Mahindra showed off the Thar.e concept for the first time in 2023. It has been conceived as a rugged electric SUV with a five-door design. It has a boxy shape and SUV-like styling. The concept has square LED headlights, boxy front quarter panels, flared wheel arches, an angular hood and more. It has high ground clearance (300 mm) and rides on tall wheels shod with off-road rubber.

The Thar.e is underpinned by the INGLO P1 high-voltage architecture- essentially a variation of the INGLO platform found on the BE6 and XEV 9e, which is designed specifically to base off-roader EVs on. The Thar.e has minimum overhangs at the front and rear.

The design is claimed to suit even the harshest and most precarious off-road conditions. The production form, Mahindra says, will have the best-in-class approach, departure and ramp-over angles. It will also excel with its water-wading abilities. The exact powertrain details remain unclear at the time of writing this story. It feels safe to assume BYD-sourced battery packs and Valeo-sourced motors to be used on the production form.

Though it hasn't been confirmed officially by Mahindra, we expect the Thar.e to be put into production sometime in 2026.

BE Rall-E

Mahindra has been actively testing the BE Rall.E in India. For the uninitiated, this is the more rugged, off-road-going version of the BE6. It isn't however, a minor cosmetic overhaul. The Rall.E made its premiere in February 2023, as a concept.

We are in for a treat if the production form stays true to the concept on various fronts including the design! It could then become the wildest mainstream EV on sale. The Rall.E gets a new fascia, single-piece LED DRLs, circular LED projector headlights, a real bash plate and more- as seen in the concept and the spy pictures. The production-spec will also come with a large Black roof rack.

No detail of the interior design has surfaced yet. We expect it to be the same as that of the outgoing BE6. Kit levels could also remain identical. It, however, remains a possibility that Mahindra chooses to pull off a last minute surprise and come up with a slew of off-road features, tech or advanced electronics.

Though the manufacturer has been tight-lipped about the same, the Rall.E will likely feature AWD (All Wheel Drive) tech based on a dual-motor setup. It could then offer more power and torque than the outgoing BE6, even while being based on the same INGLO platform. The battery packs could remain identical to those offered on the BE6- 59 kWh and 79 kWh units sourced from BYD. We expect the production model to be out sometime this year.

Mahindra XEV 7e

Mahindra is also known to be working on an all-electric version of the XUV 700, which could be called the XEV 7e on launch. It has been spotted testing on multiple occasions. We expect the production form to be out soon.

The XEV 7e will likely be a three-row electric SUV like the XUV 700. It will be based on the same INGLO platform as the XEV 9e, and will come with the same battery packs as well- 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Mahindra has been tight-lipped about these details.
