Mahindra is on a spree to launch electric vehicles in the Indian market. They recently unveiled their brand new XEV 9E and BE 6. We have also seen test mules of XUV 3XO electric or the XUV400 facelift. Other than these three models, Mahindra is also working several other electric SUVs and the video seen here shows just that. Remember the the electric vehicle concept that Mahindra showcased based on XUV700? We now have a that shows test mule of XUV700 or XEV 7e getting tested on Indian roads.

The video has been shared by Raftaar 7811 on their YouTube channel. The video was recorded from Tamil Nadu, where Mahindra has its own SUV proving ground and research facility. In the video, we see a heavily camouflaged SUV on the road with XUV700 like body style. It is actually based on the XUV700 but, Mahindra is going to offer several EV specific changes to it.

Just like the recently launched BE6 and the XEV 9E, the upcoming XUV700 electric also looks very similar to th concept. The front-end of the SUV has been heavily redesigned. It gets a closed front grille with drop down LED DRL with a connecting LED bar. The SUV gets triangular shaped headlamps cluster with LED lights in it.

The new Mahindra logo is expected to be placed on the front grille of the SUV. The SUV is going to be a feature loaded SUV. We can already see the ADAS, 360 degree camera in the spy video. The video also shows the side and rear of the SUV. Apart from the front fascia, everything else on this SUV resembles with the ICE version of the Mahindra XUV700.

The concept version of this electric SUV was showcased as XUV.e8 and there are high chances that Mahindra will be renaming the production version as XEV 7e. It is likely to be placed between the BE 6 and the XEV 9e.

The upcoming electric SUV will get XEV 9e inspired cabin. We have already seen a set of leaked images of the cabin and that shows a dual-tone black and white cabin with piano black inserts on the door panels and dashboard. As this is the XEV range, Mahindra is offering triple screen setup on the dashboard.

One of them will be the instrument cluster while the other two would be the infotainment screens for the passengers. We also expect to see Mahindra’s two-spoke steering wheel with leather wrapped flat bottom. Mahindra will also offer features like ambient lights, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, HUD, drive modes, wireless phone charging, panoramic sunroof or closed glass roof and so on.

We don’t have much information related to the battery pack and electric motors. We are expecting it to be the same as the XEV 9e. Mahindra will offer the SUV with 59 kWh and a 79 kWh battery pack options.

Both these SUVs would be offered with RWD options as standard. Mahindra might offer a daul-motor version with AWD at a later stage. Mahindra will be pricing the XUV700 electric competitively as it would be rivalling against the Tata Safari electric which is expected to be launched later in 2025.
