You never know what unique thing you may come across any day living in India. Every now and then, a video goes viral on the internet that makes us wonder, “How does one even do that?” Recently, one such example has been shared online. A video from Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, shows a man carrying his motorcycle on his shoulder across a flooded road. Yes, you heard that right. He was not riding the motorcycle; rather, he was carrying it on his shoulder.

Man Carries His Bike on His Shoulders
This video, showing a man performing this extraordinary stunt of carrying his bike, has been shared on X. It comes courtesy of Vistaar News. The nearly 2-minute-long video clip starts with a man being shown walking on a completely flooded road. The shocking part was that he was carrying his motorcycle on his shoulders.
It appears that it is a commuter motorcycle that he was carrying on his shoulder. It has been reported that this daring stunt was performed not to become famous or anything of that sort. Rather, he did it solely to save his motorcycle from getting flooded.
In the short clip, we can see the man struggling to maintain his balance at some points. However, despite the difficulties, the man marched forward as if this were something he had done before. From the video, it can be noted that he carried his bike on his shoulders for more than 100–150 meters.
Do Not Attempt Such Stunts
We must first appreciate that, despite the adversity, the man did not give up and carried his motorcycle on his shoulders to save it from flooding. However, we must also mention that doing something similar is not advisable for anyone who comes across a flooded road. The reason is that doing such a stunt can have dangerous outcomes.
First of all, the main reason to avoid such a stunt is to avoid getting any injuries to the spine, legs, or shoulders. An average commuter motorcycle in India weighs around 125 kg, and we are sure that not everyone can perform a maneuver with such heavy weight on their shoulders.
Apart from this, the other reason to avoid doing something like this is due to the flooding. When walking on a flooded street, if you do not know the road with 100 percent confidence, you should not attempt to cross it. In fact, even if you know the road completely, we advise you to stop and not attempt to cross the road.
Crossing a Flooded Road Left Couple Stranded
Recently, due to heavy rains in various parts of India, there have been reports of numerous floods. A lot of people have been losing their homes, cars, bikes, and even lives due to such floods. Most recently, a video of a couple being stranded in the middle of a river after trying to cross it was shared online.
What happened was that a couple was driving across a flooded causeway in their Volkswagen Tiguan. The driver thought that he could follow the vehicle in front of him and cross the causeway quickly. However, this turned against him as the water level quickly rose and the SUV got swept away.
Following this, the couple was swept in the strong current for nearly 1.5 km. After this, they finally came to a stop. They then quickly came out of the panoramic sunroof of their car and sat on top of their SUV for nearly two hours, after which they were rescued by the authorities.
