JSW MG Motor India, in order to boost the sales of its popular SUV Hector in India, has launched a new edition. It is called the Hector Snowstorm Edition, which has been priced at Rs 21.53 lakh. The Hector Snowstorm Edition is based on the Sharp Pro variant of this SUV. It gets a few exterior enhancements and a few changes on the interior to differentiate it from the standard variant.
MG Hector Snowstorm Edition Pricing
First off, let’s talk about the pricing of the Hector Snowstorm Edition. As stated, the model is based on the Sharp Pro variant. It comes in five different trims, namely the 5-seater turbo-petrol CVT priced at Rs 21.53 lakh. Next up, there is the 5-seater diesel MT priced at Rs 22.24 lakh. There is also a 6-seater diesel MT variant, which is priced at Rs 24 lakh (Rs 24,000 premium).
Apart from the 5- and 6-seater variants, the Hector Snowstorm Edition also comes in the bigger Plus trims as well. The 7-seater turbo-petrol CVT is priced at Rs 22.29 lakh. Meanwhile, the 7-seater diesel MT variant has been priced at Rs 22.82 lakh. All of the variants, except the 6-seater variant, come with a premium of Rs 32,000 over the standard Sharp Pro variant.
MG Hector Snowstorm Edition: What Has Changed?
Now, coming to the changes offered with the MG Hector Snowstorm Edition. We can start with the exterior upgrades, which include a blacked-out roof and all the pillars of the car. The standard color of this new Snowstorm Edition is white.
It also gets complemented by black 18-inch alloy wheels. Apart from these, the Hector Snowstorm Edition comes equipped with dark chrome elements on the front grille. It also gets dark badges and highlights on the front bumper.
Additionally, the SUV also comes with red accents around the headlight surrounds and rear bumper. To add to the sportiness, the company has also given it red brake calipers as well.
MG Hector Snowstorm Edition: Interior Design
Moving on to the upgrades done on the interior of this SUV. The MG Hector Snowstorm Edition comes equipped with an all-black dashboard. It also includes black leather upholstery on the seats. The company also offers gunmetal grey trim inserts to add to the overall contrast.
There are also “Snowstorm” logos embossed on the front seat headrests. Apart from these, the rest of the interior is similarly equipped as the standard Sharp Pro variant. This means it gets the same massive 14-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, which is vertically positioned.
It also gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, and a panoramic sunroof. MG also offers the Hector Snowstorm Edition with a 9-speaker Infinity audio system.
MG Hector Snowstorm Edition: Powertrain Options
As for the powertrain options, the SUV comes offered with the same 2.0-litre diesel and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines. The diesel motor makes 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Meanwhile, the turbo-petrol engine makes 143 PS and 250 Nm of torque. It comes offered with both a manual as well as a CVT automatic gearbox.
MG Astor Blackstorm Edition
Originally launched back in 2023, MG has once again introduced the Astor Blackstorm Edition in its lineup. This edition, like before, comes with a black exterior color, blacked-out badges, and other black elements. It also gets a ton of red highlights across the exterior to signify its sporty nature.
On the inside, this model comes with the same houndstooth pattern on the seats and red Blackstorm badging on the front seat headrests. Apart from these, it gets the same 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, JBL sound system, 7-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, and a wireless charger.
MG Astor Blackstorm Edition: Pricing
As for the pricing, this model has now been introduced at a price tag of Rs 13.45 lakh. It commands a premium of Rs 35,000 over the standard model. Also, it comes with a CVT gearbox, and this trim is priced at Rs 14.46 lakh. This also commands the same Rs 34,000 premium.
The Astor comes powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which makes 110 PS and 144 Nm of torque. It comes available with a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox.
