JSW MG Motor India earlier this year at the Bharat Mobility Expo showcased their all-new SUV for our market. It is a huge 7-seater SUV that will sit above the MG Gloster SUV. MG calls it Majestor, and it is expected to launch in the market later this year. It will be the flagship model from MG, and it will rival the likes of the Toyota Fortuner in this segment. The MG Majestor was recently spotted undisguised on Indian roads before its official launch.

The video has been shared by Motoyatra on his Instagram page. In this video, we see a black-coloured MG Majestor being driven without any camouflage on the road.

It looks like the video was recorded in Gujarat, where MG has its manufacturing facility. The person recording the video is following the car on the highway, and after coming down a flyover, the driver of the MG Majestor parks the car in front of a hotel.

The vlogger quickly takes a walkaround of the SUV, which confirms that this is the MG Majestor and not the Gloster. The MG Majestor actually draws inspiration from the Maxus D90 SUV, which is currently sold in international markets.

This three-row SUV looks huge and imposing from the front, especially because of the large front grille with split headlamps and LED DRLs. The rugged skid plate, connecting LED tail lamps, and the 19-inch wheels add to the overall stance and bulk of the car.

Coming to the interior, the MG Majestor comes with a 12.3-inch freestanding touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV also features an all-digital instrument cluster with customizable interfaces. The overall interior gets a black theme.

The Majestor also comes with a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable, heated, and ventilated seats with a massaging function for the driver’s seat. It will also get three-zone climate control, a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a premium 12-speaker audio system, and an electric tailgate.

Just like most modern cars or SUVs in the market, MG is offering safety features like Level 2 ADAS, which includes emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and many other features.

In terms of engine and transmission, the MG Majestor gets a massive 2.9-litre four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine. This engine generates 216 Bhp and 479 Nm of peak torque.

It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is available with both 4x4 and 4x2 variants. It remains to be seen whether the lower variants of the SUV will come with a single-turbo version or not.

It was earlier assumed that MG would sell the Majestor via their MG Select dealerships, but it was later clarified that MG Select will only deal in premium electric vehicles. The Majestor will be sold alongside the Gloster at dealerships.

Just like all other products, MG is expected to launch this feature-loaded SUV at a very competitive price tag. We are assuming that the Majestor will be offered at a price of around Rs 40–45 lakh.
