The Japanese automaker Nissan has finally confirmed the launch date for the Magnite facelift in India. It has been announced that the Nissan Magnite facelift will make its official debut next month on October 4th. The company is currently working on the development of the facelift of this model. It is being reported that the upcoming Magnite facelift will feature a ton of exterior design upgrades and will also get new features on the inside as well.

So far, the test mules of the Nissan Magnite facelift that have been spotted have not revealed many details. However, it has been reported that the company will be offering the Magnite a number of exterior design upgrades. We can expect to see new front and rear bumpers.

It is believed that the company could also be tweaking the front fascia of this popular sub-compact SUV. We may also see a new design for the headlights, which could get an all-LED setup as well. Most likely, the side profile and overall silhouette of the SUV will be kept the same.

However, there could be a set of brand-new alloy wheels, as with all facelifted models. The rear of the new Magnite facelift could also see the inclusion of a new LED taillight, or it could get tweaked internals for the current taillights. As mentioned, the most prominent change in the rear will be offered by a new rear bumper.

Coming to the interior of the Nissan Magnite, it is believed that the company could be offering a new dashboard layout. Most likely, it could get a new, bigger touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control. It could also get modern amenities such as ventilated seats.

As per the reports, the main highlight of the Nissan Magnite facelift will be the addition of a single-pane sunroof. Presently, even the top-spec variant of this sub-compact SUV is not offered with a sunroof. And as we all are aware, the sunroof has become a highly demanded feature in modern Indian cars.

Moving on to the powertrain details, as per sources, Nissan will not be introducing any new powerplant options. This means that it will continue to feature the same petrol engine options that the current model offers. Presently, there is a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine on offer.

The three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine offers a maximum power of 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. This engine recently got the AMT transmission option. It also comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. As for the turbo petrol engine, it makes 100 bhp and 160 Nm of torque. This engine comes with a 5-speed manual, CVT automatic as well as an AMT automatic transmission.

As for the pricing, the Nissan Magnite is currently priced at Rs 6 lakh for the base variant and goes all the way up to Rs 11.27 lakh. Most likely, we will see a bump in the pricing of the facelifted Magnite, which will launch on October 4th.

In terms of competition, the Nissan Magnite facelift will face competition from a number of popular sub-compact SUVs. The list will include Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and others.
