Renault India has launched the ‘Night & Day’ special edition on its entire lineup- which includes the Kwid, Triber, and Kiger. These limited-edition models feature visual upgrades and a few additional features compared to their standard counterparts. Bookings for the Night & Day edition will open at authorized dealerships starting September 17. Just 1,600 units of these will be available across all three models.
Renault Kiger, Kwid, Triber Night & Day Editions: What’s New?
The Night & Day edition is based on the RXL variants of the Triber and Kiger, and the RXL (O) variant of the Kwid. These editions of the Triber and Kiger come in a dual-tone colourway- Pearl White body paint with Mystery Black for the roof and A-pillars. The smaller Kwid gets Black on all three pillars, alongside White body paint. The special edition brings the Pearl White colour to lower variants of these vehicles.
Other updates include Piano Black wheel covers, grille inserts, badging, black ORVMs (Kiger and Triber), and black tailgate garnish on the Kiger. The Kiger and Triber ‘Night and Day’ editions come with 9-inch touchscreens that support wireless smartphone mirroring and rear-view cameras. The Triber also gets rear power windows in this edition.
Below are the variant-wise prices of Night and Day Editions:
- Triber: Rs 7,00,000
- Kiger Manual : Rs 6,74,990
- Kiger AMT: Rs 7,24,990
- Kwid: Rs 4,99,500
Pricing for the Kwid Night & Day edition matches the RXL (O) variant which it is based on. The Kiger edition costs Rs 15,000 more than the standard RXL trim, while the Triber edition is priced Rs 20,000 higher than its RXL variant.
No mechanical changes have been made to any of the cars. The Kwid retains its 68hp, 1.0-litre NA petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options. The Triber continues with its 72hp, 1.0-litre NA petrol engine, also paired with manual and AMT gearboxes. The hot-selling Kiger offers the same 72hp engine as the Triber, alongside a beefier 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional CVT.
“This is an exciting announcement not only for our new-age customers but for our dealers and employees as well. The limited edition allows the customers to make a bold statement with the Night and Day Limited Edition, where the three cars will be offered in new pearl white with a mystery black roof. This reflects our dedication to crafting wow customer-centric experiences. We are confident that this new limited edition will enable us to welcome more customers to our growing Renault family.” Says Mr. Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO and Managing Director, Renault India.
Renault Has Been Ramping Up Things Lately
Renault India has recently increased its focus on the domestic business. It has been actively revamping its portfolio with various limited and special editions and expanding its retailer and service facilities across the country.
In addition to the regular service facilities, Renault now has a mobile service unit called ‘Workshop on Wheels’. It is believed that the French carmaker would launch the new Duster in India, sometime in the future, along with a slew of other interesting products, including a coupe SUV.
Renault has also been in the news recently for gifting various models from their lineup to the Indian army, showing their commitment to improving the movement and logistics of the armed forces. More recently, Renault also became the first carmaker to take its entire lineup to Umling La, the world’s highest motorable road. Even the tiny Kwid managed to make it to the top, without any hassle.
