When we hear the term “road rage,” a few Indian cities come to mind. For some reason, Bengaluru is at the top of this list. On a daily basis, we come across road rage incidents from different parts of this city. We all know about the infamous Bengaluru traffic, and in most cases, these road rage incidents occur as a result of this frustration. However, there are also cases where people, for no reason, decide to attack other road users. Here we have one such incident where a gang of scooter riders kicked a moving car on a flyover in Bengaluru.
The video was shared by a user on the social media platform X. According to the tweet, the incident took place on the newly constructed double decker flyover from Marenahalli to Silkboard. The video was captured by a person who was driving behind these scooter riders. The whole incident is unknown, and we are not sure what provoked them.
In the video, we see a modified Honda Dio scooter with no number plate and a loud exhaust riding next to a Grand i10 Nios. It looks like the scooter rider was engaged in an argument with the car driver.
He was probably asking him to pull over, and the car driver might have said no. During the argument, the pillion on the scooter decided to kick the driver-side door of the car. It also looks like the scooter rider threatened the car driver with a tool he had in his left hand. It looked like a knife or some other sharp object.
This makes things even more serious. They were still arguing, and the scooter rider was completely invested in this fight. The car driver, on the other hand, wanted to escape from this situation, but the scooter rider was trying to push him towards the railing and force him to stop. There was another scooter rider with the gang who was behind the car. They ensured that the car driver could not stop or make any sudden moves.
The registration number on this scooter was clearly captured in the video. The Honda Activa scooter with registration number KA01 KB 5615 was behind the car. The Honda Dio had a rider and a pillion. The Honda Activa, on the other hand, had three people on it, including the rider. They were fighting on a fairly empty stretch of road.
Once the rider kicked the car, they picked up speed and fled the scene. The video was posted online with the caption, “Today at the newly constructed flyover from MARENAHALLI TO SILKBOARD. These people are really going out of limits, and it’s becoming unsafe to travel on the roads. @BlrCityPolice @BlrCityPolice @blrcitytraffic. Kindly take action against these goons. KA01KB5615.”
The video went viral on the internet, and Bengaluru City police responded. They took note of this matter and said they would take necessary action against the culprits. In the past, Bengaluru police have acted in these cases and have taken necessary action against the culprits.
Bengaluru Police Arrest 5
This has become a common sight on Indian roads, which is extremely sad. We request everyone to remain calm while driving and not get involved in such arguments, which could lead to road rage incidents.
