The Czech carmaker Skoda is betting big on the future of electric vehicles, and to move in this direction, it has launched the all-new Skoda Elroq. This all-electric SUV has been launched in Europe, but it has been confirmed for India as well. The Elroq will make its India debut next year. Now, before it arrives in India in 2025, here are all the details that you need to know about this newest electric SUV from Skoda Auto.
Skoda Elroq EV Platform And Battery Options
Before talking about its design and features, let’s jump directly into the main highlights of the Skoda Elroq. This new EV SUV is based on Volkswagen’s MEB Platform, which already serves as a reliable EV platform for many popular Volkswagen and Skoda EVs.
In terms of the battery pack options, which is the most important element of an EV, the new Skoda Elroq internationally is being offered with three battery pack options. The first is a 55 kWh battery pack, which will offer a range of 370+ km on a single full charge.
Next up, there will be the 63 kWh battery pack option. This battery will offer a range of 400+ km. Lastly, there will be the biggest 82 kWh battery pack option, which will provide a range of 560+ km.
Skoda Elroq EV Variants
The company, in order to lure in more buyers, will be offering the Elroq EV in four different variants. The first will be the Elroq 50, which will get the 55 kWh battery pack option and a rear-wheel drive layout. It will make 168 bhp and 310 Nm of torque.
Next up, there will be the Elroq 60, which will be offered with the 63 kWh battery pack and will also get a rear-wheel drive layout. It will provide slightly more power, which will be 201 bhp and 310 Nm of torque.
Then, there will be the Elroq 85 variant, which will come with the 82 kWh battery pack and rear-wheel drive layout. This variant will make 281 bhp and 545 Nm of torque. Lastly, there will be an AWD variant called the Elroq 85x. It will make 295 bhp and 545 Nm of torque.
Skoda Elroq EV Design
Now, coming to the exterior design details of the Skoda Elroq. From the outside, this electric SUV, although a completely brand-new car, still incorporates the typical Skoda design cues. It boasts a “Teck-deck Face” and also gets “four-eyes” LED DRLs.
There is also a closed-off front grille, which is a black panel that makes it look very sleek and modern. Additionally, the split LED headlights set in the middle of the bumper look very sporty. There is also a silver skid plate and a classy-looking air dam at the bottom.
On the side profile, the Elroq boasts huge 20-inch alloy wheels, which add to the classy appearance of this SUV. As for the rear, it looks very similar to the Kodiaq and Enyaq IV. It features sleek LED taillights, a sculpted rear bumper with silver skid plates, and Skoda lettering on the tailgate.

Now, jumping to the inside, the overall dashboard layout is very minimalistic. The center stage is taken by a massive 13-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, and it also features the Laura Voice assistant. The unique part about this voice assistant is that it gets ChatGPT integration.
Other features of this SUV include remote parking via the MySkoda App and remote vehicle charging. It also gets a massive 470-litre boot, which can be increased to 1,580 litres after folding the rear seats.
