Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 is around the corner, and we have information on who’s taking part and who’s skipping. Skoda has confirmed its participation and here are three new cars that are to be expected at their pavilion.

All New Superb

Skoda will bring the new fourth generation (B9) Superb to the Expo. This D-segment sedan once had a commendable reputation in India and was locally assembled here. However, at the time of the BS6 transition, the third generation that was on sale then was discontinued and later a facelift was reintroduced earlier this year. Upon its re-entry, the Superb was being brought as a CBU import. This led to it being priced rather high, with the ex-showroom numbers tipping the scale at 54 lakh.

Unsurprisingly, the Superb sales remained low. The reason behind making the third-generation car available in India as CBUs was to clear global inventory. Skoda recently announced a massive price drop of 18 lakh on the sedan.

The fourth generation Superb features the new Modern Solid’ design philosophy. It is larger in dimensions and comes with an octagonal grille and matrix LED headlamps. The headlamps get new Crystallinium elements inside.

On the inside, there is a cleaner, better-looking dashboard design, a free-standing 13-inch infotainment display with ChatGPT integration, a ventilated phone box for fast-charging smartphones, ambient lighting, seats with pneumatic massage functions, and a steering column-mounted gear selector. An optional HUD will also be offered- a first on Superb.

The sedan, like its predecessor, will come with Dynamic Chassis Control. The global spec has six powertrain choices on offer. The India spec would most likely get the familiar 2-litre TSI engine as the Kodiaq. The state of tune is also expected to remain identical.

All New Kodiaq

Skoda will also bring the next-generation Kodiaq to the Auto Expo. It will also feature the ‘Modern Solid’ design philosophy, which had made its India debut through the Kylaq.  It will have the new generation Matrix LED headlamps. The cabin will be roomier and will pack more features.

The SUV will also use more sustainable materials than before. The feature list will have a head-up display, Skoda’s ‘Smart Dials’ with haptic controls, a digital cockpit for the driver, and a 13-inch infotainment system with ChatGPT integration. Like with the new generation Superb, the all-new Kodiaq will also have its gear selector mounted on the steering column.

The vehicle will be powered by a  2-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that would likely produce 201 bhp. The global model, however, offers a choice of five different powertrains including plug-in hybrids. The India-spec will come with Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC Plus) as well.

Octavia RS

Targeting the performance sedan buyers, Skoda will showcase the Octavia RS at the Expo. It will be powered by the 2-litre TSI petrol engine in a higher state of tune- producing 268bhp and 370Nm. It comes mated with a DSG gearbox. It would have a sharper and more aggressive design when compared to the regular Octavia. Brand director Petr Janeba reportedly told in a statement that bringing the Kodiaq RS and Octavia RS can both be options. According to him, these could be CBU-only products.

Other Skoda Models To Look Out For

Besides these, Skoda Auto India will also showcase the recently launched Kylaq SUV and maybe even the Enyaq iV at the Bharat Mobility Expo. It should however, be noted that the carmaker is working on a major update to the Enyaq and it remains to be seen if it would be the new model that breaks cover at the Expo.
