Finally, after making their highly anticipated customers wait for so long, Tata Motors has officially launched the Curvv Coupe SUV in India. The all-new Tata Curvv has been launched with a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh, and it will go all the way up to Rs 17.69 lakh. Tata Motors is offering the Curvv in four main variants. In total, there will be 8 variants of this coupe SUV.
Tata Curvv Coupe SUV: Pricing Details
The Tata Curvv coupe SUV will start at Rs 9.99 lakh for the base smart variant. Next up will be the Pure+ variant starting at Rs 10.99 lakh. Then there will be the Creative and Creative S variant priced at Rs 12.19 lakh and Rs 12.69 lakh respectively.
Moving there will be Creative+S variant which will start at 13.69 lakh. Lastly there will be the Accomplished S and Accomplished+A variants which have been priced at Rs 14.69 and will go up to Rs 17.69 lakh. Pricing for each variant will differ depending upon in the powertrain option being chosen.
Tata Curvv: Exterior Design Details
On the outside, the Tata Curvv coupe looks very similar to the Curvv ICE. However, there are a few notable details that differentiate it from its all-electric sibling. For starters, the front grille of the Curvv ICE, unlike the EV, is not blanked out. Rather, it gets a unique grille with rectangular elements that give it a very premium appearance.
It also gets a uniquely styled front bumper, which continues to get the same jeweled elements. The lower portion of the bumper also gets a skid plate. Apart from these, the LED headlights and connected LED DRLs at the front remain the same.
Moving on to the side profile, the Tata Curvv gets the same coupe-like sloping roofline, which is its main highlight. Apart from this, it gets flush-type door handles, gloss black side claddings, and a set of futuristic-looking 18-inch alloy wheels.
As for the rear, it gets a double-bubble roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, and connected LED taillights. There is also a chunky gloss black cladding on the rear bumper. Lastly, it also gets a body-colored skid plate.
Tata Curvv: Interior Design Details
Taking a step inside the Tata Curvv, the interior looks very similar to the one that we see on the Nexon EV and the Curvv EV. The main differentiating factor is the color theme, which is black and burgundy, unlike the black and light grey of the Curvv EV.
Features
In terms of features and technology, the Tata Curvv comes loaded with a ton of creature comforts. The list of its features includes a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, ambient mood lighting, voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
It also gets a 9-speaker JBL audio system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, a wireless charger, an air purifier, an electrochromic IRVM, and an illuminated and cooled glovebox. Lastly, it also gets powered and ventilated front seats and an electronically controlled rear boot lid.
Safety Tech
As for the safety tech, the Tata Curvv ICE comes with ADAS level 2. It gets features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, lane change alert, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and rear cross traffic alert. It also gets a 360-degree camera and 6 airbags.
Tata Curvv: Color Options
As for the color options, Tata Motors is offering the Curvv coupe SUV with 6 different choices. These are, namely, Gold Essence, Flame Red, Pristine White, Pure Grey, Daytona Grey, and Opera Blue.
Tata Curvv: Drivetrain Options
Coming to the powertrain options, the Curvv will come with three different engines. The first will be a 1.5-liter diesel engine option, which produces 116 bhp and 260 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the other engine option will be a 1.2-liter turbo petrol that will make 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque.
Lastly, there will be the newest petrol motor from Tata Motors, which is called the Hyperion direct injection engine. This motor will produce 123 bhp and 225 Nm of torque. All engines will come with manual transmission options, and the Curvv has become the first car to offer a dual-clutch transmission with a diesel engine. The same DCT will be offered with both petrol engines as well.
