Tata Motors is gearing up for the launch of its electric coupe SUV, the Tata Curvv, in the Indian market. Due to various reasons, including the recent elections, the launch date of the Curvv EV has been pushed forward. This has given Tata more time to fine-tune the product before its official launch. Tata will be launching the EV first and has recently released a teaser video of the Curvv. The official launch of the Curvv is expected to happen around the festive season this year.

The video has been officially shared by Tata Motors on its X profile. In this video, Tata teases the silhouette of the upcoming SUV. From the teaser video, the upcoming SUV looks very similar to the concept and the near-production-ready version showcased by the manufacturer at the Auto Expo.

The highlight of the SUV is its design. Tata is offering a coupe-like design for the SUV and is even calling it a Coupe SUV in the teaser. Before the official launch, here is all that you need to know about the upcoming Tata Curvv SUV.

First things first, Tata will be offering the upcoming Curvv in both ICE and EV formats. The electric version of the Curvv is expected to launch in the market first. A few months after the launch of the Curvv EV, we expect the ICE version to be launched.

The Tata Curvv EV is based on Tata’s Gen 2 Avti.ev platform. This platform is dedicated to EVs, and the ICE version of the Curvv is based on a heavily revised X1 platform. This is the same platform used in the Nexon.

Like most modern Tata products, the upcoming Curvv will feature a futuristic exterior design. Just like the Tata Nexon and Punch EV, we will see a LED light bar that runs across the width of the car. The EV version of the Curvv will come with a closed grille, and the ICE version will get a design similar to the Nexon.

Coming to the side profile, the Curvv EV will get alloy wheels with inserts to make them more aerodynamic. The SUV will also use low-resistance tires to reduce drag.

On the side profile, we will see wheel arch claddings, ORVMs with integrated LED turn indicators, a sloping coupe-like roof, and so on. The SUV is also expected to come with flush-fitting door handles. The Curvv will be the first SUV from Tata to get this feature.

As per the data available online, the Tata Curvv will be 4,308 mm long, 1,810 mm wide, and 1,630 mm tall. The SUV will have a wheelbase of 2,560 mm. It is going to be placed between the Tata Nexon and Harrier. The Curvv is bigger than the Nexon but smaller than the Harrier.

Tata will offer a brand new dashboard design with a floating-type 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster. We also expect features like seat ventilation, a panoramic sunroof, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a multi-function steering wheel, leatherette upholstery, automatic climate control, a push-button start/stop, and so on.
