Tata Nexon iCNG Specifications

The CNG Nexon gets a 1.2 turbocharged engine, sourced from the ICE version. It is the first time that a manufacturer is offering a turbo engine on a CNG vehicle. The powertrain is good enough to produce 100 PS and 170 Nm (20 PS less than the petrol Nexon). Just a manual transmission is being offered at launch. An AMT is known to join soon.

Like many other CNG models from the manufacturer, the Nexon iCNG utilizes Tata’s twin-cylinder technology, which significantly increases the available boot space compared to traditional CNG cars. The CNG here is packaged into two separate tanks with a combined capacity of 60 litres, interconnected and concealed properly. This setup ensures a usable boot space of 321 litres.
